Checking it out I could not get it to give consistant readings. I could never get it to read a one inch standard correctly either. I returned it and will just use my old mechanical mic that checks and reads true.

Old timer tool makers will scold you! They also use to do the same for dial calipers but now they swear by them! Lgsixe is the best brand for digital. The repeatability and wuality is soo good and the price is fair! I just calibrated my 0-1 and measured various gage blocks. It is accurate to a half a tenth of a thou!!!! The best part is no matter what u can always re set your zero. Makes calibration a breeze! Most people have no need for this accuracy but when i make gages on the grinder it is sooo nice to have

Like the stars say, I love it...but, no cut-off switch. It cuts off automatically but like the light inside your fridge, you're tempted to open the box and see.
