Excellent Buy!
Finally got to fire this up and we love it. Great perimeter heat, virtually no smoke and the stand underneath was cool to the touch. We used ours on a wood deck and have no qualms about it - however, it is remotely possible for an ember to get out. My suggestion would be a fireproof mat (sold here: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B08XYZJ1J2?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details ) just to be extra sure that nothing causes you a problem. Built well of heavy stainless steel. A bargain under $200 - we just bought two more as gifts.

Wonderfull product and very fair price
Finally had a cool night to have a fire. This unit is terrific: plenty of heat, little smoke, the quality of materials is terrific, large size, extra base ring provided is a must for my use location. Did not buy for portability, so the cover provided is very nice. The unit looks quality and you can't beat the price.
