Carex Contour Back Cushion

My husband has a deep inward sway in his back. He drives daily and has been complaining and complaining. Guess who has to massage his back when he comes back home?! This has been going on for years. When I saw that he had wrapped some thick books inside a foam pad and black-tape wrapped it, and was using that for support, I knew he really needed something.I came looking for a half-log type of support. I did see something like that, but thought this would be better because there's some support upward into the back too. When I received the item, I see that there's a depression in the middle. This was not what I expected. To me, the image looks like a curved half log and I thought the side's shape followed all along the front to the other side. That's not the case.We didn't expect much from this after we saw it, and considered sending it back. But I told him to give it a try for a week. By the end of the week he said his back is feeling better. It's been a few weeks now, and he said although this back cushion isn't perfect for him, and he still feels a bit of discomfort sometimes, that for the most part he feels normal again, with no pain.The cushion is solid and pretty firm, and is not soft foam. It was a great investment, if you ask me.

This works perfect in my recliner (No straps to damage the leather). I ordered two different back cushions at the same time, and this one just seems like it fits the curve of my back as it is more curved and less like a wedge. It is solid enough that it gives support and doesn't squish down. I have used it for 3 months and it is still doing the job.

The cushion is comfortable and does it's job, but I am going to try to get a velcro strap to hold it in place so I don't have to re-position it every time I sit down. The cushion is firm and well made. I would recommend this one, it was a good price.

Felt good for a short time. This is a back support. After using it for more than 30 minutes my back started to hurt. The foam inserted in the pillow is very very hard. I hoped that it will soften after a few days but it did not. I tried to return the pillow but the message came in as it’s not returnable, as 30 day return window is gone. Today as I am writing is July 2nd and on Amazon web site it says I received it on June 5th, 2022. That is less than 30 days after receiving it. I got hold of Amazon customer service, and was told it is not returnable as it was sold by a third party, and I need to contact them. Why, Amazon sold it to me. So don’t buy this as it is not at all confortable. Waste of money.

I tried using this at my desk chair but it didn't work at all (wouldn't stay in place, the angle felt wrong, etc, but that might have more to do with my chair than the pillow). It works better in my car but it's not perfect. Again the angle feels off, sometimes I think it works better upside down because for proper posture your butt should be all the way back on the chair which the pillow doesn't allow for. But, it's MUCH better that my regular car seat and definitely better than the rolled up towel I was using before. ALERT, This pillow is really narrow, I can't imagine it would work for anyone with a wider back than me (I'm 5'5" and 120 lbs)
