Good quality with O ring seals. Required sanding to fit frame head tube. Would recommend bike shop installation where they have milling and reaming tooling.

This headset is inexpensive, solidly constructed AND black. Installation was easy, assuming you know some basic mechanics and you've ordered the proper size. For this price, you really can't do much better.

One of my bikes has a King headset. Another has an Aheadset. I cannot tell the difference in handling between the two. The price is however considerably different: by 5 or 6 to 1.

I haven't installed this yet, but I can already tell it's going to be awesome. The bearings are well made, smooth operation even dry out of the box. Cane Creek is a name I've always trusted when it comes to head sets and was pleased to see that Ahead is actually made by them as well. The rubber o-rings are a good addition, that should help keep the bearings dry and clean. I'll use water resistant marine grease to install and I have no doubt at all that this head set will work out perfectly on my latest bike build. There was a slight hiccup with delivery, but it was an honest mistake on the part of Fedex finding my address, and they contacted me to resolve the issue immediately so no harm, no foul. I usually wouldn't write a review before even installing a part, but in this case it's warranted. I have %100 faith that this is a quality part and I won't regret spending a little more to replace my stock set up. There are others for half the price, but I guarantee you'll only get half the quality, and that's if you're even lucky enough to get half.
