MOTHER INDIA Organic Veg Biryani, 9.3 OZ

Well, it's not "Vegetable" anything! I got a package of rice with maybe a few unidentifiable beans or something in a minimal amount of spicy sauce. There wasn't anything bad tasting, just not worth the price for a packet of rice.

I gave this to a friend to try and she liked it very much. So that's her opinion and I'm sure it was good.

Pretty good, but it is spicy so I would def recommend you have raita with it! I used the pot of bill ng water and immerse the pouch method. We had sliced chicken with it.

Not as yummy as I had hoped for. Doesn't look like the pic on package. But not the worst packaged food I've had.

I have bought quite a few prepared Indian meals at the local health food store. All were authentic and delicious EXCEPT for Mother India Vegetable Biryani. First of all, the package is deceptive. The photo on the box leads one to think that there would be a symphony of well seasoned mixed vegetables and rice topped with shredded coconut. There was no coconut, and no mixed vegetables. Basically, the box contains a lot of rice, a few peas, a few small pieces of OVERCOOKED potatoes and spices that tasted like no Biryani I've ever gotten from an Indian restaurant. Furthermore, the photo on the outside of the box looks NOTHING like the contents of the box. I guess it's not work mentioning that the portions are small because because if he portions were larger there would be more to dispose of.

Not worth the money and not very good. Will not order again.

Not like India, but made in Indian kitchens.

The rice is dry and the spices are too strong for my taste.
