Great laptop lock for the price
It's a decent laptop lock, works as expected, comes with two keys, locks into the laptop, and lets you tie it off by wrapping it around a table leg. Also, if you want to lock an ipad or something without the correct lock spot it has a metal plate with double sided tape that can be stuck to the back of your ipad to allow you to connect the lock. They even used the 3M VHB tape for the sticker, so I know that stuff will stick very well. This lock is definitely enough to prevent casual theft and people shoplifting stuff from a store. I don't think it's quite strong enough to stand up to bolt cutters or something, but for the price it's a great deal.

Low profile, Great value!
I got this for my external USB-C portable monitor that I bring to work. I don't want it getting swiped when my back is turned! This unit was easy to install and is fairly easy to use. I wish the line on the lock were more visible; sometimes I do the unlocking combo on the wrong side because the indicator line is hard to see. But for less than $20, I can deal with that. When shopping, I was concerned about how thick the receiver would be on the back of my monitor. It turns out that is not very thick at all and if does not interfere with the functionality of the monitor, nor does it take up too much room in my computer bag.I recommend this product. The only other thing they could do to improve it would be to include an alcohol pad to clean the surface before adhering the receiver to the object you want to protect.

Small but strong lock and cable, comes with 2 keys!
I got this cable lock to secure my Microsoft Surface Pro tablet, as it doesnt have a kingston style security lock attachment point. The mount/attachment point is made of metal and uses 3M VHB (very high bond) adhesive. The cable is made of braided metal covered in a plastic/rubberized coating. I tested the strength of both, as you can see in one of my pictures and it was able to hold 30lbs of weight no problem, and I imagine it can hold a lot more. I found it nice that it comes with 2 keys, and the keys have the code on them if you ever decide to make more. The only small complaint I have with this lock is that the lock also lists the key code on it, which is great if you ever lose both keys, but also means that if this is left in a public area for days, someone could potentially make their own set of keys and unlock it, so its more ideal for securing things in private areas like your home or car. Overall I am happy with it and would recommend it to others looking for a cable lock set for a laptop, tablet, small safe, etc.

A versatile and useful laptop lock.
This is a very convenient Kensington lock cable. The main thing that stands out is it's versatility. First of all the vinyl coated steel cable is over six feet long. On one end is a lock that fits the Kensington lock slot on many small electronic devices like laptops, tablets, game consoles, and the like. An identical lock is on a short tether that can slide the length of the cable allowing for a wide possibility for placement of the valuable equipment to be secured. The other end of the cable ends in a loop that can be used to wrap the cable around a heavy table leg, nearby support column, or other immovable object to secure the cable in place. Also included are two anchor plates, metal squares with holes to fit the locks into and backed by some 3M® very high bonding adhesive. These can be affixed to devices that don't have a lock slot built in or you can stick them to your desk or other surface in your regular spaces to use as a securing point rather than looping the cable around a heavy object. With two locks you can either lock up two devices with the looped cable or, using an anchor plate, lock one device to a fixed surface. Both stainless steel locks are Kensington MicroSaver® 2.0 type tubular pin tumbler locks with 7 pins, though only 4 pins appear to be active, the remaining three being idle pins. This is a common practice. These types of locks are not intended to provide high security but rather just to prevent someone passing by from quickly snatching your laptop while you are not paying attention. Despite the low security expectations, I still did not like to see the key code engraved on the face of the lock. As someone who works with locks I appreciate that they provide the code on the key but placing the code on the lock is a bit much. I have removed it with a grinder. Of course, it would not make any difference to anybody without locksmith skills and equipment. The locks swivel and rotate freely at the end of the cable allowing great flexibility of placement of your equipment. But this also means that you must grasp the lock firmly when locking and unlocking it or else turning the key will only rotate the lock, not the core inside the lock. One other thing to mention about the key action is that this is what is called a "forced locking key". The key can only be removed from the lock when it is in the locked position. This doesn't have any negative implications on the use of the lock since this style of lock can't be locked without the key anyway.Summary: This is a versatile Kensington style laptop cable lock that can secure two items at once and offers a range of possibilities for how to secure your important items. If you often take your laptop with you to work while traveling or don't feel safe getting up to get your order in a crowded coffee shop, then this is for you.

Quality product, easy to use
This was easy to install and created security for my iPad and events. I use the iPad to collect contact info but worry about the iPad walking off when not looking. The iPad isn't going anywhere without taking our table with it. Recommend the combination lock version. It was very easy to set my own 4 digit code.

Great lock for average uses at a great price.
Surprised by how cheap this guy is. But it works amazingly! It also seems easy to be able to use this one lock on multiple devices if you purchase multiple back plates.Slim and not very intrusive design.
