I was concerned that the gold part would look cheap, but it does not. It is knurled metal and it looks very nice.

Nice looking epically with the circle pattern on my lamp shades.
These finials are round and completely smooth like a big marble. They have the crackle effect on the inside. I had similar ones but the finial base had prongs instead of direct attachment. This design looks like it will hold up longer. The old ones I had fell out of base and I never did find them.

Pretty & it Fit
I took one star away as I thought the ball might be a bit larger. It is pretty & it fit. I bought one & bought it again for the other lamp as I wanted it to match. I wanted to make sure I liked it before committing to purchase for the other lamp.
