Perfectly designed with user in mind.
I bought this to use while working on diamond paintings and it is magnificent! The light and lens are adjustable making it easier to remain in one place for a longer period of time. By not having to shift the canvas or my neck so often, it seems to reduce the stress placed on my neck. The piece rests high enough that you don't get that weird irritating feeling of it resting on your nose. These do not fit like glasses or binoculars and such. It sits on the forehead more like the old miner's headlamp. The battery pack is at the back of the head rather than the front like most, so the weight is evenly distributed. It weighs nearly nothing and other than feeling the strap, which feels like wearing a fashion headband, I am mostly unaware of the device. After the fit is adjusted, it doesn't slide up and down with my hair when I move my head about. And if my hair is in a pony or bun, I can place the small battery pack either under or over it depending on the place of my hair band. That was one concern I had when choosing this particular model.I love the ability to change lens and double up on some to have a much greater range of magnification than any others I looked at. In addition, placing a single lens in the front slot or back slot changes how you see what you are focusing on. Though the field of vision magnified is tight, I don't think it would interfere with most things one would be using it to magnify. The light is the perfect brightness. Any less and it wouldn't illuminate properly, any more and it would likely cause a glare off any item that has a shine or sparkle to it. The circumference of the illumination is great. Because this is designed to be used for small areas, it doesn't light up a whole room. It focuses in on where you place it, giving you the control of what stands out. Being an LED, there is no "spot" from the light source, but the whole area needed is lit, gradually fading at the edges to prevent distractions. This is the only headlamp I have purchased, and can only compare with the idea of what others would do. But the things I have pointed out seem to be the most obvious concerns people might have about it. I freely admit I was skeptical primarily due to the low cost and it being designed significantly different than all others I had browsed through. But this one just seemed to make more sense in its construction; distribute the weight, give a large degree of magnification options, make the lens and light adjustable to angles, make the field of vision and light narrow enough to focus in on a small area. This is a headlamp made with thought and precision to it's use. Consideration was given to the user in a way I feel many other headlamp designs don't live up to. I believe if you're looking for a great device to help you see and work in small areas, you won't find a better one on the market.

We liked it so much we bought another one!
First off, do not assume that you're getting top quality for only $12. I often see people write how much they dislike an item because it's "made cheaply". Well, there is a reason for that. If you spent only a few dollars then of course it's made that way.The lenses are plastic as is the light. That however doesn't make it any less useful. The lenses truly have great magnification. They're brand new and have zero scratches. They are a bit smaller than I expected so the fake head used in the product photo is considerably smaller than the average adult head. That said it surprisinglyI has a decent field of view, which right out of the box I didn't expect.Getting it on is a little awkward and because the lenses have no frame around the edges, you are bound to get fingerprints on them. If there was one thing I would like them to do differently, it would be that. A silicone frame around the edges would be ideal. Just use a sock, cotton gloves or a microfiber cloth to insert the lens you select to keep it fingerprint free. The light works quite well too. That says a lot because I hate LED lights. They are too bright and have a very small field of view. I also think they do eye damage (how many of you have passed cops with their LED lights on at night and were NOT blinded by them?) and one day people will finally wake up and say enough is enough. Here though it works well since you only need a small space to see.We use them for a large variety of reasons such as pill bottles that are so overloaded with useless (for the ultimately stupid) warnings that you cannot find the instructions and end up guessing, needlework and fairy garden furniture projects, electrical engineering wiring thingamabobs (my husband is an electrical engineer for the Department of Defense, or DoD) and just about anything small that requires detailed work.Granted there are bigger, better made doohickeys like this one that have a lot of features but who really needs that? If it does what you need it to do, then why spend that extra money. We were so pleased that we bought a second one. The husband was always... ALWAYS... using it so we got another one for myself alone.I highly recommend it and wish you all well!

Hm
The product overall was good but I got it to use for lashing and the light isn’t as bright as I need it to be! I wouldn’t recommend this for lash artist. But for any other uses it will work fine!

Good for reading small print.
I like that these fit on your face like glasses and do not wrap around your head. The magnifying glass lenses are quite heavy for something so small. I like that there are 4 different lenses although I can only focus 2 of them. They will come in very handy to read small print. They seen well made.
