Read the errata
The book is stunning (as usual with Fassett books). The photos of quilts displayed in an Irish village are gorgeous, as are the quilts themselves. I own several of Fassett's books and use them as eye candy and for inspiration. I've never followed one of the patterns exactly. Quilters who do should look for an errata list. One for this book was posted on Facebook by Liza Roos Lucy. This is why I give the book 4 stars instead of 5. The publisher needs to have technical editors test the patterns. The new book, Quilts in Ireland has a few mistakes. Please print this out and put in your copy of the book. A lot of beautiful, quilts for various quilting levels.
I really like this book. I'm a very busy woman who does not have the time to quilt that I wish I did. Fassett does a great job at putting in easy quilt patterns that look much more complicated than they are to make. The vibrancy of his fabrics lend themselves to larger quilt blocks which also makes quilts go faster. However, if you are a more experienced quilter, there are also some challenging quilts...."Whirling Blocks" is so beautiful, I'm going to give it a go....even though it's above my skill level. If you are a Kaffe Fassett fan, I think you will love this book.

Gorgeous book
As always with Kaffe Fasset's books, both the pictures and the quilt patterns themselves are just beautiful. Some relatively simple patterns where it is the wonderful colours of the fabrics and their placement that create the quilt.but also slightly more complicated ones which take a bit more experience. All round, a gorgeous book

Beautiful and inspiring
As usual for a Kaffe Fassett book it is beautiful photographed with glorious coloured quilts. I usually just buy his quilt books to look at the photographs as the quilts seem to be too difficult to attempt for a newbie. However this book has several quilts that I am actually going to try.to make. The scenery in the photographs and the settings are absolutely beautiful so an all round winner as far as I am concerned.

Too many errors
The book is lovely and the quilt designs and pictures are great but the number of mistakes is too great and spoils it all. Please ensure better proof reading and editing in the next book.
