Overall a great ride for those who already know how to ride skateboards. I've had this for over 7 years now and can give some tips, first unscrew the brake/button, its inconsistent and makes riding it risky. A screwdriver underneath will remove the button. Second, while the bearings in the wheels are "good enough" for kids who haven't ridden better, swapping in new bearings (any reds, or oust brand) can make a world of a difference. I personally ride a long-board most often, however a big heavy board can discourage some people from riding as often as you'd like, this is very portable and can easily be caried. Just remember, if you have never learned to ride before getting a full length skateboard or long-board is a much better idea considering the shorter a board is the more stability is required to avoid falling.

A portable skateboard. What everyone says about the brake is true. I was aware of the vulnerability of it, played cautiously and it still broke on the first outing. Honestly the product luckily is better without the brake. Otherwise, if your heel comes up, the sole skate stops and the rider is likely to fly off. Ask me how I know.The design of the front axle is pathetic. Just look at the pics. It’s held on with a screw.

I bought this as a gift for my son because he cannot bring his regular size skateboard to school. He only rode it one day and the button for the brake would not pop back up to make the brake work. So I called to return it and get another one because maybe the one I got was the defective. I gave it 3 stars cause customer support was responsive and willing to replace it.

The braking mechanism broke on the first ride, and while that's not terribly important, the back axle (?) broke after the 3rd ride.

This product is aweful. Son got it yesterday and brake broke within 5 min of using it. This sent him flying off and tippec skate and took a chip off of edge. I am sending back for a full refund

Not great for beginners. If you're proficient with a skateboard or Razor scooter then you'll find this to be fun. It's super light and will fit in a backpack. The brake button is great for when you jump off because it will slow to a stop, unlike a skateboard. I work outdoors and use it all the time. You can travel at a running speed while standing still!
