Bad explanation for Writing Section, confusing questions, thus a bad reflection of the real test
Despite the level of difficulty in the reading section, the book offers terrible explanations, especially for the writing section. "Grammatically correct and make sense" are found all over the place. If it simply "make[s] sense", why do we need to look at the explanation? Moreover, the questions are usually off and do not reflect the real tests. There are always some questions in every practice test that are badly written and just try to confuse students, rather than encourage them to logically work to find the correct answer.

Challenging
These tests are great prep. Harder than Kaplan and Princeton Review

Actually simulates the real SAT
As a parent, I'm always trying to find the best for my kids. I bought this for my son, hoping that it would help him. This book was great. My son found the math, the area he wanted more guidance with, particularly helpful. He is trying for Ivy League schools and said this book was an excellent resource! It provided test taking tips and then did an admirable job of simulating the actual SAT.

Wrong answers
Some of the answers are just plain wrong for simple algebra. Very basic algebra. Like Practice test 2 #36. Who proofreads this stuff?

This book is terrible
The book arrived in perfect condition. However, the format of the practice tests vary from the actual test. The passages in the the reading section are much longer than the actual SAT and the no. of evidence based questions are much fewer than the actual test. The writing section is completely confusing. The pages are very crowded. The book probably won't do much help to increase the score.
