Unless the fruit fly is trapped between this device and say a wall, it is not effective. The fruit flys can feel the wind as I get this device closer to them and always get away. I will need to buy two of them to make it work.

Love this zapper, the fact that you can hear that zapping noise when a bug connects with it is awesome. Very durable and stylish.

this is the best bug zapper I've used by far. The best part is that it's rechargeable so I don't have to worry about keep buying batteries. Most importantly, it's doing what it's supposed to do! Highly recommended.

I am often suspicious of nearly-all 5 star reviews. However, this product is so far excellent. I have 3 different units and this is (by far) the best. I can actually zap fruit-flies in mid-air. Also, multi-zaps are common. This is not the case with either of theother units. I hope it lasts. Or that the fruit-flies don't!If you want to zap gnats or fruit-flies, this one is recommended.By the way, the flat top of this unit is far superior to the rounded top that most units have. The round top lets the little varmits escape around the frame. The flat one doesn't give them anywhere to go.
