I don’t know that these would be 100% effective at preventing all water from entering the ear on their own, but they are a game-changer if you’re following the often-recommended technique of using a cotton ball with Vaseline.My ear doctor recommended that to prevent water from entering my ear when I shower, I put a cotton ball in my ear and cover it with Vaseline to create a waterproof barrier. This really works, but the Vaseline gets in my hair. Now, I use the cotton ball with Vaseline and put one of these covers over that. It prevents the Vaseline from getting in my hair and creates a very effective waterproof barrier.

I bought them for my sister who had ear surgery , she was told she could wash her hair but not to get the ear wet.. I looked on amazon and found ear covers she washes her hair no problem , she’ll have plenty for the other ear .

The description says waterproof, but these are flimsy plastic covers of low quality - similar a hotel's shower cap. Not waterproof at all

I use these to cover my ears when I'm in the hottub so I can use ear buds to listen to music. They take some maneuvering to get them on your ear properly, but nothing drastically. I would have given them 5 stars if it had a better "seal" when wearing them. But they can come off.

Ear protectors, I needed for showering to cover my injured ear. These work if you’re careful. I cup my hand around my ear while shampooing my hair and the bandaged ear stays dry. They’re not great, but the best I have seen and as I said, they work if you’re careful.

Needed them after your surgery and they worked great at keeping the canal dry. Afterward shared them with my mom who wears a hearing aid so that she could leave it in while in the shower. It’s a mini shower cap for the ear.

Who knew that Amazon would have what I needed? My nurse told me what to get and it worked great for my ear. I had Mols surgery on my ear and skin graft. They worked so well to keep my ear dry.
