Ground spike is not very long.
These went together without any major problems and they look nice even when not lit. The covers have stayed on even during high wind storms, so no water in the fuel. The stakes are only about six inches long though, so they aren't the most stable things in the world. If you bumped one it might fall over. They aren't as tall as I thought, but I didn't get out a tape measure, so that's on me. The smaller cap that holds the wick unscrews to make a larger opening without the wick in the way so filling is easier.

White plastic piece inside the pole.
Looks great. And great price. Some people said the stakes were plastic but mine were metal and were attached as one piece to the pole. Seems good quality to me. The polls are hollow, thin and very lightweight though, so probably not the most durable. I’m a very handy person but had a hard time attaching the torch to the pole at first because there are no instructions. There’s a white plastic piece inside the pole, which I thought I had to take out in order to insert the rubber piece on the torch into the pole since it wouldn’t fit the hole in the plastic piece. I tried everything and it was impossible to take those plastic pieces out. I was thinking I was going to have to return the product. But then, the rubber piece on the torch happened to fall off, which revealed the metal screw threads that we’re hiding under it which I would have not have known otherwise. Bingo! That’s what’s going on here. You don’t remove the white plastic piece. That’s what you screw the torch into after you remove the rubber piece off the threads. So simple. But geez, they could’ve just told us that.

Sleek and elegant design
Have had them for a few months now and they bring the right ambiance. Size and functionality are perfect.

Spike broken during install
Have not lit them yet. They look good. Lightly hammered spikes into ground. One broke as pole was being tightened down. Used emt pipe in place of spike. I will replace the 3 other spikes with the emt pipe (painted black) solution. The spike to pole connection is a weak design.

A nightmare to refill. Can damage surrounding deck.
Rarely do I write negative reviews, but if I can spare someone the hell I just went through then I hope this helps.A few weeks after owning these (set up two, burned through one bottle of tiki oil) I realized the wicks were getting increasingly harder to unscrew. I eventually had to use pliers to get them off, and ended up warping the screw-on-lid to the point where it was unusable. You can’t unscrew them with barehands because the sediments brick up the threads, and there is so much soot that it stains your fingers if you try to barehand it.Not to mention that the openings of these torches are so narrow that you have to use a funnel to refill them, and even at that I ended up with torch oil all over my brand new deck. When you unscrew the cap, you have to pull the entire wick out of the body and it’s dripping with oil. You can’t sit it down on your railing or deck floor because it will stain it.There is a fill line marker, but how in the world are you supposed to see the oil line? I had to listen to the pitch of the pouring sound to know when it was getting closer to the top. It’s not like you can look down inside something that is narrower than the top of a soda bottle while you are pouring the oil. Even if you momentarily stopped pouring and looked down inside, you’d have to use a flashlight because the body isn’t transparent.Simply a bad design overall that’s not very well thought out. They are pretty enough with the bronze finish, but the look wasn’t worth destroying my deck.

Awesome product. Will be replacing all of our torches with them
Very modern, burn well

Hard to fill
They look beautiful but are very difficult to fill and the wick is so large that you have no control over the flame. The very small hole to fill causes overflow and the entire top is in flames for quite some time. The fill of citronella does not last long.

It’s ok
It does what you expect. Once used a few times then you will notice chains breaks, lids not fitting, wicks falling apart. It’s ok quality for what it is.
