Excellent book - however the "Look Inside* book is NOT this book
Please be careful when ordering, this is "Vocabulary (Language Teaching : A Scheme for Teacher Education)" by Michael McCarthy **NOT** "Vocabulary: Description, Acquisition and Pedagogy" edited by Norbert Schmitt and Michael McCarthy as per the "Look Inside" view on Amazon.Both are excellent books, however be careful.Definitely stimulating and an excellent introduction to the basics of vocabulary and applied linguistics. It's not often that I can say a textbook has me wanting to eagerly read the next page, but McCarthy's style is very readable and presented well.Recommended.
