Nice classic bike bell sound, installs anywhere,
It does what it is supposed to do: it sits on your bike until you need to at least attempt to alert the hapless pedestrian on the trail ahead of you that you need to pass. It goes like this: You ride down the trail. Ahead of you, you see walkers, runners, kayakers porting their kayaks to the water, and the occasional BMW that mindlessly followed the GPS instructions and wandered onto the trail. You ding your bell twice and enjoy the sweet classic bike bell music. You ding it again and shout "On your left!" You ding it some more, shout louder, and start cussing out every manufacturer of headphones ever. You then gently, slowly, as far to the left as possible, pass the pedestrian and brace yourself for the inevitable onslaught of four-letter-words accompanied by a lecture about how you are riding too fast on the trail and tearing up the landscape. You might be chased by a dog on a retractible leash. At least you and your lovely bell tried.Looks nice on my Rivendell. The band that attaches this bell to the bike is flexible, and comes in two different lengths, so no worries about handlebar diameter or needing to replace headset spacers with exotic bell mounting options. I wrapped my stem with electrical tape so it wouldn't scratch, but it looks like they now include a rubber shim. No rust after six months and maybe 3 or 4 rain showers. I personally can't tell the difference between this bell and the expensive model that it knocks off. I would definitely buy this bell again.

Affordable, Loud, Durable
Yes, this is a knock-off of the Spurcycle bell. No, it is not *quite* as loud as the Spurcycle bell and it doesn't *quite* sound as nice as the Spurcycle. It is also costs 75% less than the Spurcycle bell so all-in-all I think it's a fantastic piece of equipment. I have two of these, on on my road bike and one on my gravel bike and I've had them for just over two years. I have had no issues with the bells falling apart and the installation was straight forward.A lot of the low star reviews are people whinging about the bell not quite sounding the same or not being the same build quality or not being made in the USA... well it's $15 so take that for what it's worth. My bells are quite loud and haven't fallen apart yet so I think it's a no-brainer deal.

Great bell and not too big!
The media could not be loaded. I love how its entirely made of metal and rubber. My last bell broke a couple days ago and was predominantly plastic. Rather than making multiple dings like my previous one, this makes a loud single ding. I'll see how responsive people are on the multipurpose paths. Hopefully it doesn't corrode. It is somewhat challenging to install. It comes with a short and long piece of steel you use (one) to secure to the handlebar and a piece of foam rubber to prevent scratching. A bit challenging but extremely secure!

great out of the box - will it hold up?
Compared with 10 years ago, I'm doing less riding in the streets and more on pathways where I share space with pedestrians, dog-walkers, skateboarders, etc. Some of them are still paying attention to their surroundings (as opposed to plugging their ears with speakers or staring at their "smart phones"), and often they appreciate a gentle warning when a cyclist is approaching from behind. So... I decided to get a bell.I immediately eliminated the $50 (!!) bell that this one imitates. (I'd carry a spoon and ding it on my handlebars, before I'd drop $50 for a bell, for cryin' out loud!) And, I didn't want a great big bell, although some of them sound beautiful. Turns out there are lots and lots of options in small bicycle bells. I decided to take a gamble on this one, hoping a $14 bell will hold up better than the $5 or $7 model.Out of the box it looked nice - I got it in silver, to go on my gray bicycle. There aren't any instructions, but it's pretty intuitive. It does come with a small allen wrench, which is the only tool needed to install it. It also comes with two stainless steel wrap-bands, to accommodate a wide variety of handlebar diameters and mounting options. I installed it, and went on a test ride... came home and installed it in a different place. I should be good now. It has a pleasant resonating tone, and is loud enough to be heard by people who aren't totally absorbed in Smart Phone World or deliberately impairing their hearing. My only real concern is some negative reviews - people who report the bell failing after a short time. The vendor claims that "we have improved the production process and improved the quality of the bicycle bells. If the bell has a manufacturer defect, we provide free replacement service." I'm counting on that. I'd expect a $50 bell to last forever, and be handed down to my kids and grandkids. I expect a $14 bell to last a good long time. (My bicycle gets reasonable care and doesn't get parked out in the elements.)If I have reliability problems, I intend to return and update this review. In the meantime... no news is good news, and I'll be out there dingin' away with my "Pioneeryao" bell.

Super Loud Bell, Works Great!
I recently purchased a Specialized Diverge bike and shopped on Amazon for a few essentials including a bike bell. I purchased the Pioneeryao Bell based on the recommendation from a good friend and cycling partner. Yes, this bell is a cheaper copy of the SpurCycle Bell.I've used this bell on my bike for about 2-months with no problems. A chunk of my typical ride includes a very busy municipal trail and I use this bell a dozen or more times a ride to alert other riders and pedestrians of my presence. The bell is both loud and really easy to use. The thumb strike is within easy reach on my handlebars and I've had zero problems with the bell since installing it.The actual installation process is a bit of a chore and probably took 10-minutes. The Pioneeryao Bell comes with a small piece of rubber or silicone that I used to keep the bell from moving on my bars. A small metal strip curls around part of the bars and through mount points on the bell to keep it mounted. Guiding the metal part around my bars while holding the small silicone strip in place was the chore in the installation process but not overly terrible.I'm a fan and I'd order this bell again. Recommended!

Indispensabile

Excellent quality bell with loud ring
This is a really great quality bell. It is all made of metal with not breakable plastic parts. It has a loud, clear ring and the sound does reverberate after it rings.
