Helped Rid my Yard of Most of My Nusance Birds
After spending a small fortune trying to feed the birds so I could enjoy, watching the Cardinals, Woodpeckers and Blue Jays, I found myseld feeding a hoard of Dove and Cowbirds. The Cowbirds were not only eating all my seed, but running off my beautiful Cardinals, Woodpeckers and Blue Jays. I got rid of most of my feeders and changed to only Safflower seeds and Peanuts and like magic, the Cowbirds quit coming around. With shorter perch feeders, I've also got rid of a lot of the Dove too.

It is not worth the 31$ charges tried to send photos but it didn’t work
This was a bird seed cylinder. Half the seeds are off the cylinder. Seed is dry and broken a third of the way down.

Foils the starlings
I bought this large safflower seed cylinder because the starlings and house sparrows had found my feeders. I took down the other feeders and used the safflower cylinder exclusively. The starlings could not cling very well, nor could the house sparrows, so they gave up and went away. The nuthatches, cardinals, and other local birds have learned to use the cylinder. I would recommend that you use a roof or cover over the cylinder to keep the rain off. I also hung a tray feeder beneath to catch any dropped seed. I will only use the saff cylinder in my mission to thwart starlings. When the starlings go away I put out black oil sunflower seed. I use the nut and seed cylinder when I am away from home for days—they seem to last a long time without refills and all the woodpeckers and other birds like that one..

Crumbled
I’ve purchased this product before, but this was the first time I’d received it in such poor condition. At least a third of it was crumbled on arrival, which was great for the birds on the ground, but not why I purchased it in cylinder form.

cylinder feeding is helpful
I dislike the birdseed falling off before I can insert into my bird feeder

Great Bird food
I was overrun with grackles until I started using this, now my cardinals, blue jays, mourning doves, woodpeckers and little other birdies love it...squirrels don't bother with it either...win win for me!

Great solution to grackles
I love these bird seed cylinder and had used the ones with sunflowers and nuts all winter, getting a wonderful variety of birds at my feeder. But come spring, the grackles returned and bullied away the other birds and went through my seed in record time. I read about switching to safflower. Indeed, they now avoid the feeder. My cardinals are not as wild about it as the other seed and don't sit there all day as they did before, but they still come and as it is summer, with lots of other food, I'm fine with that. I'll switch back once the grackles leave, but this has really changed my backyard dynamics. I like that is so big. It seems like it has lasted forever -- both the size and the lack of greedy birds, I guess. This will be my go-to summer bird seed from now on.
