Its good to know as an online consumer that there are still merchants that care about their product quality ------- This is my first set that I purchased to learn the fan veil. The colors of the silk were vibrant (honestly I was not concerned what color they were since its for practice). Two things I noticed right out the package - when opening with each hand, one fan would just fall open and would not stay closed. The other was very tight and hard to open with one hand (will be adjusting the bolt on both to obtain the tightness to my liking). Also, one of the spokes was already splintered. I was a little disheartened seeing that, but it’s nothing that can’t be quickly fixed.Keeping in mind that I was purchasing a “beginner pair” and for how much I spent, the quality is on par. Knowing also that this pair will get banged up a lot from practicing, I’d rather use a pair like these as my first. (Why I gave a three stars = average )

Our troupe purchased several sets of the Rainbow style in June of this year, and we couldn't be happier with the product.The colours are bold, seams are sewn well, and the bamboo frames hold up well to expected abuse. They're beautiful enough to be used in professional shows, but light weight and versatile enough to be a go-to for festivals and casual flow days. And cheap enough to feel confident letting tiny humans wave a big rainbow fan for fun!I ran mine through the ringer this summer, and they do not appear to be picking up too much dirt and debris despite being used a heck of a lot! But kept the plastic sleeve they arrived in, and use that to store and transport them, so perhaps hang on to your packaging for a little extra longevity in your veils.Expect a couple small splinters or perhaps a pulled thread... for the price, a small sheet of sand paper for splinters, and a dab of elmers white glue to stop any pulls is completely reasonable. Of the 6 we bought, 2 had a small splinter of wood, and 1 veil had a tiny snag. Still better than any other low cost fans from other suppliers we've found so far!

Will update once more once I receive the product!One fan came Damaged the bamboo was snapped in multiple places and the fabric was ripped in some spots, would have loved to get a replacement BUT the color I wanted is out of stock 😢 the other fan is beautiful and exactly what I wanted it to be glide through the air amazingly and looks just like fire! But I needed two working fans for the show I had scheduled and now have to cancel. I would be willing to give this product a 5 star review if I could get a replacement fan, but can't find a way to contact the seller

A genuinely terrible product. First of all, the fans are larger than the length of my forearm. That makes them worthless to anyone who uses their arms while dancing. Secondly, the bamboo is untreated, super cheap and the pin that holds the bones together at the base is loose and flimsy. Next off, the fabric and the cut: the fabric is not cut on the bias, and there are little flaps on the outer edges that look terrible. The edge stitching is extremely flimsy, with loose threads. And, of course, it's in an ugly color of orange brown. Dear God, who would use this thing?

I love the colors of these silk fans and I would recommended buying these to learn how to use silk fans or see if you like this flow prop but I have two issues with them.The biggest issue is that my fans are already coming apart after only a few months of light use. The silk is coming off the fan in a few places. I can probably glue it back on but the quality is disappointing.The second issue is that the fan itself is hard to open and hard to hold so that it stays fully open.

Pros: Very light material, very vibrant colors, easy to hold, simple to begin learning with, and I love them a lot already!Cons: one of the fans was not pinned as tightly as the other one and I only noticed when I began to practice opening both of them at the same time. Thankfully it was a easy fix on my end. 2. You can't tell what is the correct way to hold it as there is fabric on both sides making it rather hard to tell. If its easier to open on one side than the other thays the way it is supposed to open, mark it on the stave so you know with pencil so you don't forget as easily.
