Really pleased with this purchase. It is soft, colorful and just the right size. I'm super excited to give it to my granddaughter this Christmas. She's going to love it! She is 7 years old, and it looks like it would fit her well at least until she is 10 or so.....maybe even longer. It came packed in a clear plastic bag. The only thing that would have been great is if it came packaged in a nice box. I ordered a shark tail blanket for my grandson, paid $5 more, but the presentation (box) is really cute and will be more simple to wrap. Is it worth the extra $5? For me it is because I'll have to buy a box for this anyways, so I would have rather just had it come that way. All that said, do not hesitate to purchase this at $20 it's a great buy.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this blanket! It is stunningly gorgeous! Perfect shade of aqua with little iridescent flecks in flowing scallops that look just like a mermaids tail. It shimmers just like the sun on the ocean. It is super soft to the touch and very well made. I love this blanket! It would make an excellent gift for anyone at any age. Comes in a nice sturdy box too. Worth every penny!!! Just to be clear, I am reviewing the rectangle blanket not the mermaid tail blanket.

Bought this for my daughter's 2nd birthday today, and she couldn't give a toss for any of the other gifts she was given after she got this. Huge hit! Its sooo soft and cozy and I had a difficult time convincing her to get out for any reason. She doesn't usually nap very well or very long, but today snuggled down in her mermaid blankie she napped for 2.5 hours. It was amazing lol. She has plenty of room to grow, especially considering if she puts her feet all the way down in the bottom practically all of her legs fit in the bottom of the tail. So she has been trying to "walk" in it all day (probably not recommended lol), and the stitching has seemed pretty sturdy.Basically, this makes a great gift. And if my husband thinks I am waiting two whole months for my birthday so he can order me a purple one in the adult size, then he is clearly mistaken.

My 9-year old daughter loves this! I wanted to get her a mermaid tail blanket for Xmas, but my spouse said no she likes the ultra-soft type of blanket, and the mermaid tail blankets were all crochet or similar. So I ended up getting her a soft blanket, which she loved. She lies on the couch and watches TV wrapped up in it. As her birthday approached, I looked at the mermaid tail blankets again (she also loves mermaids), and came across this one. It was billed as very soft, and the reviews backed this up, so I gave it a try. Since her birthday, this is now what she watches TV in. The blanket is indeed very soft. Her birthday was only a week ago, so I can't say how it will hold up, but it does appear to be well made. It is due for a washing already, and I will update the review if there are any problems in the laundry. But so far it is a big hit!

Bought this for a 9 year old girl's birthday. She loved it. The fabric is nice and soft and warm. The size was perfect. The colors were beautiful/ All being said, the first time she climbed into it the stitching started to come apart. She was in tears because she loved it so much. The fix was pretty easy, just pull out the sewing machine and run along the seam all the way around it. I would have given it a 5 star review if it didn't need to be repaired right away. There was no need for the quality of the seamstresses workmanship to be so poor. It isn't a difficult project to sew with quality thread. It is all fixed now and my little friend is happy with it. She sleeps in it most every night that it is cool enough. I would purchase it again even knowing I would have to restitch the seams because the price was reasonable. Fabric to make one of these might be nearly the price of the finished mermaid tail blanket.

This is a gift for my granddaughter for Christmas, so I really won’t know much until then. It looks good, and I am sure she will love it.

There are a lot of "fuzzy" blankets out there, and for my daughter who loves mermaids, even fewer blankets that look good and are durable. This thing is all. The scales are part of the print, but not that cheap print that peels off in a month. This blanket has had about as many miles put on it as my car, and it still looks like it came out of the packaging. Still fuzzy, easy to wash, and where my daughter is, the blanket is too. Not a "I'd recomend this", this blanket is a "I do recommend." It's really warm too, but not hot.

These little blankets were the cutest for my mermaid themed sleepover party. Very soft and sparkly. The fabric was nice and thick.

Niece loved it
