This stool has 16 strong screws that compress the wood together for extra strength, along with added support beams underneath stool..wood screws , no staples, just plain strong and long nails to support the weight of the user for unlimited usage.Each stool has its own characteristics, each with its own grain pattern, we stain each stool with Minwax Provincial stain sealer then we put 4 coats of polyurethane for a nice glossy finish. .
