I thought this was going to be like my old clutch pencil but it operates more like the Pentel Sharplet-2 in that when you press the end button (which is the sharpener) the lead advances a set amount. I think on a true clutch pencil the lead can come out as much as it likes. At least the lead doesn't just fall out on this one. It is fairly light, although just a little point heavy due to the metal grip. I think this is a very nice pencil, especially as it comes with a rubber and some spare leads included in the price. I don't like the pocket clip much so have removed it and it fits nicely on PaperMate non-stop pencils.

I use this pencil for plotting on paper maps, the removable lead sharpener on the end is a much needed extra.

Had this pencil since December, but unfortunatly, while I thought this was going to last me a while, looks like a design fault has surfaced. Disappointed as I loved this pencil.

Bought as stocking fillers, I collect these pencils! They are addictive, you find yourself writing more, and doodling more ...what more can one ask in this digital age.
