This is a good thing for me to have for my playstation TV as it only has two HDMI ports and I used up all mine. This device allows me to easily switch between my PS3 and PS4 without needing to unplug one for the other. There is a downside in that there is no remote for this so I am unable to switch from afar. You have to actually press the button in order to switch between inputs. I do not see much issue with images or video. It does require external power to have a stable connection. It utilizes a micro USB cable to power it but the cable is not provided. You can power the HDMI switch with the USB ports on the TV or a wall plug if you have the USB wall plug. It also does not come with the USB adapter to plug directly into the wall. It does not come with any HDMI cable so you will need to provide your own. Know that you will require three HDMI cables to connect to this device. This device does not get hot so you do not have to worry about overheating. It is also very light. There is no remote which does make it a bit annoying to change output when needed. The material of the switch is metal so it dissipates heat well. It is however easy to scratch up. The switch is a simple push button. Overall this is a great HDMI switch to have if you just need that one additional HDMI port. It is very light, basic, and allows me to play switch between my PS3 and PS4 on my playstation TV easily. The only down side is that you do need to press the button on the device itself to switch between input every time. Also not sure why there is no micro USB cable provided for addition power to the device.

I use this to simulate simply unplugging the cable. Since Fire TVs like to say "HI!" and then immediately return to sleep mode about every 30 minutes to the PC it's connected to WHILE IT IS "OFF". This causes the PC to essentially freeze for a moment to deal with what it thought was you plugging in then unplugging a monitor. Small price to pay to not have to remove the cable when I'm not using the TV. 4K@60 was all I needed.One side note: Though it works flawlessly and requires no external power source, it does have a Micro USB port. I wouldn't dare plug anything into it.

I looks nice but most people are conencting two sources to a monitor. There should be a short HDMI cable to connect to the monotor.

Not much to say about this splitter other than that it just simply works. I was able to connect it to my older TV with a spare HDMI cable and turn one HDMI input into two. I have an older TV so I can't speak as to its 4K 120Hz abilities, but for my TV it works well. The setup is simple, just plug the inputs into the side with two HDMI connections and, using an HDMI cable you already have, the output from the box into your TV and you are good to go. The included directions clearly indicate the two ways this switch/splitter can be set up. For my current setup this splitter/switch just sits next to my TV so I'm able to easily access the button on the top of the box to switch input sources.Overall I am happy with this purchase. The construction feels of a higher quality.

The value and size is nice. This is not an auto switching hdmi product. There is a semi bright green light behind the button you push to switch between your equipment. The function is basic and simple. It can be used as 2 pieces of equipment to 1 monitor or 1 piece of equipment to 2 types of monitor. It states this isn't passive, but when I connected the cables, the green light came on. I'll update as soon as I test it out.
