These really grip firmly and holds your hair in place. These are on the small side, but they are good for thin to medium thick hair. They are great for the price, love the colors and very satisfied with them.

I bought these clips for my mother as we try to salvage her hair in an effort to help her rethink her hair routines. She's been in and out of hospital for months and is chronically sick, resulting in hair damage from the stress (as well a just conventional damage from using brushes, dryers, and generic shampoos/conditioners). Her hair has fine strands, it's thinning, has dry hair damage, hair breakage from ties, blow dry damage, and dead ends. After cutting her hair to shoulder length, I handed her these clips to replace her ties and old clips she's kept for decades. Two weeks later and she spontaneously tells me that she loves the clips. Her hair feels secure and off her neck and face due to the double row of teeth to grip her hair. They're lightweight and easy to throw in her bag. She says they don't feel like they're tearing or slicing her hair strands. My mother is extremely frank and utilitarian and not that feminine, but she does value her hair. I was so relieved to hear that these clips have been working so well for her as we start the process in revitalizing her hair.

I have fine, curly hair. I purchased these clips for root lifting when wet. They sell clips for that particular purpose, but these are even better for fine hair!. Love them, they never moved at all!!

I need some lift at the roots as my curly hair dries. These are a great size for doing that. My only complaint is that the handles (the parts you pinch together to open the clips) are at an awkward angle, but not a deal breaker

I have been using regular clips (the kind you use to pull your hair back) on my roots to try to give lift/volume. I decided I'd buy the actual root clips and found these. The ones I wanted from a curly hair company were a lot more money and didn't seem worth the price, but these weren't that expensive. Surprisingly, these work a lot better than regular hair clips at creating lift at the roots. I would definitely buy again. I also like the way these feel. I don't know if they're coated or it's just the material, but they seem a little like silicone (they're not) because they stay better in your hair, but don't stick when you're trying to take them out. If you're thinking about buying them, they're worth it.

I got a perm and I wanted some lift at the top. These work great.The name brand ones are expensive.

I like the extra internal prongs for these claw clips - I use them to clip my roots for more volume while diffusing my curly hair and these are great because of the additional internal prongs.
