Universal Octo 8 Output LNB for Satellite Dish SKY Freesat HD TV KU Band Satellite Receiver with Spirit Level Bracket

I was getting poor Freesat reception and checked the dish. Found the LNB cracked and fragile due to aging. Rather than pay and wait for a repairman, I thought I'd try a bit of DIY. This LNB was very easy to fix and adjust (I found the skew angle required using dishpointer.com). Water came out of the old LNB and my signal now is excellent. If your Freesat is playing up, and you can easily access your dish, this product could be the upgrade you need. It certainly seems to be a very good quality LNB and includes a weather shield for the cable (which my old one lacked). Highly recommended.

Having got fed up with the poor tuners and picture on my Humax Aura pvr, and having moved to a house with a satellite dish, I thought I'd give Freesat a go. The Freesat pvr seemed to work well with the dish, but could only record two channels because the existing LNB was not wideband. I thought I'd buy this product and see whether it would work to give me four channel recording. It was easy to fit (took less than 30 mins) and worked straightaway, giving me a good strength and quality of signal, the ability to record four programmes at a time, and an excellent TV picture. Very happy.

Ordered as we have done away with the main satalite company and gone to freesat which can record 4 chanels at once. Only after purchase, found we can do that with our old lnb, after trying to fit this, and finding that the sat dish bracket and this are the same dimensions. So if we did need it we would need to alter to fit. Kept it if we have any problems with the old one.

I bought this to replace a damaged one on a portable satellite system. Fitted in minutes. Great instructions. Seems sensitive too.

We gave up on Sky years ago and bought the latest UHD Freesat box instead. Never looked back. We watch mainstream TV infrequently which might account for us noticing 3 days before Christmas that we were seeing 'no signal' messages when attempting to record anything worth watching over the festive period. Ooops. Luckily for us, our Dish is reachable from our fibreglass flat roof over our kitchen and I can see it from our bathroom window - which showed the plastic cover on the LNB had perished. Googling this, the pictures revealed the correct diagnosis requiring replacement. I found this on Amazon, it ticked the boxes and was a very reasonable price. Bought, delivered next day, and within 15 minutes I was on the roof, prizing the old LNB off and clipping on and securing the replacement. There are YouTube videos showing how this is done, but it isn't complicated. Result, Freesat is now working again to record, well, nothing worth watching over Christmas :-)

Connected easily to my sat Dish and improved the signal. Highly recommend.

After loosing all the Freesat channels and checking all the easy stuff first like, cables, connectors etc; I concluded the LNB had failed, has it had been installed for many years and weathered several storms.Changed it for the GeoSync Universal Output LNB and all channels returned. Good vale for money and is a quality replacement and easy to install, definely recommended.
