Q: why does it bubble & ripple?

I don't know about the ripple but the bubble. It bubbles when you shake the bottle or stroke too much too fast.

Q: I have cnd mystic slate which is a gray/blue color and i’m asking if this color is similar? the colors don’t always look like the pictures! thanks

this is more like a sky/pastel blue.

I always bought my CND nail polish from Amazon but have not purchased in over a year. So I went to look on line to see your problem. Yes now they seem to require a “ beauty” license to buy the CND gel very disappointing. I assume beauty supply stores for licensed manicurists got together on this. Don’t bother with the vinulux CND. I do believe gellish is a long lasting gel but difficult to remove. Wish there was a better answer. BTW gel polish required a special light to harden. Hopefully Amazon will be able to sell the polish again to the users.

Q: is this a normal nail polish, or do you need special equipment or product to apply and remove this polish?

This is not a single coat and dry nail polish. Shellac nail polish requires a "base" coat (separate product) followed by UV curing. Then the "color" coat (this product) is applied followed by another UV curing. The final "top" coat (separate product) is applied last and followed once more by UV curing. All three products are required as well as a UV curing light. There are polish removers specifically designed for the removal of shellac/gel nail polish. More work but worth it...!
