SPAREHAND Catalina Freestanding Double Storage Rack System for 2 Kayaks, 2 SUPs, or Canoe

We have two large ocean kayaks mounted on it and there are no issues of stability. It goes together in about 30 minutes including clean up time.

I have two kayaks and two solo canoes, which I keep in a public storage unit, so the two racks were just what I needed to get my boats off the floor and free up more space.My nephew, who is very handy with tools, put them together for me---it took about 15 minutes for each one. The instructions were logical and the hardware and tools were there; I could have done it, but it would have taken me a lot longer by myself.The kayaks go on the bottom of each rack, and the lighter weight canoes go on the top. My larger canoe is 13 ft long and 29 inches wide and it just does fit on the top rack---any wider and there would have been a problem. The kayaks (Hurricane Skimmer 128 and Swifty 9.5) fit easily on the bottom.This is an excellent product, but I am curious as to why the price varies so much from one week to the next. After the first one turned out so well, I immediately wanted to get the second and found the price had gone up about $40. I waited a couple of weeks and it came back down. Both purchased from Amazon.

I purchased the damaged packaging version, and it arrived in excellent shape with no parts missing. As other reviewers have noted, the instructions are wrong. You MUST use the short screws in the bottom/footer piece--the long screws won't fit, and I had some anxious moments trying to back them out. It is a little flimsy, but works just fine for my purposes. I was able to put it together and just a little over 40 minutes. The screws are soft aluminum, and I may replace them with stainless steel versions to see if that will get the little wobble out of the stand. Overall, a good value. I have two sea kayaks 15-16 feet long and 24-21 inches wide. This stand fits them just fine and the foam protection other sections of the stand that touch the kayaks are thick enough to prevent scratching the boat hulls.

Actually went together pretty easy. Sturdy, however I strapped it to a tree and lean my two kayaks on the tree and use the stand to lay them on upside down. Works great. Worked fine through a big storm. Worth the $.

After months of tripping over 2 kayaks in my garage, I finally bought this- wish I had done it right away! the rack is super stable, easy to assemble, and it frees up soooo much space (not only lifts one kayak out of the way, but there are lots of light things you can store between the kayaks as well. Love it!

Not bulky, very sturdy, perfect for my kayak storage, love it!

Not for canoes

Very tidy kayak hold for a beach front property. Works well for my two tandem XLs (about 16 footers). We store both of ours upside down and have had this about 12 months and it is still holding up great. Would purchase again.
