I had some doubts when ordering it due to large number of negative reviews, but I decided to give it a go. 99% of my use of it is for A4 size or smaller document archiving purposes.So far it works perfectly - I've done about 40-50 practice scans and 300 scans for archival purposes so far.I've had red error LED lit up couple of times but it was my fault. If you read manual carefully you'll find information about scan times which specifies minimum scanning time which ranges from at least 3s for simplest black and white A4 page to at least 10s for complicated full colour A4 page.I've spent about 10-15mins to practice sliding the scanner across the page with correct speed and once I've done this my error rate is about1 in 100 scans.I've uploaded couple of samples in highest resolution of 900 dpi so you can get an idea what to expect from it.So far it's five stars for me - it's small,portable, option of JPG or PDF file format, quality is good enough for document archiving purposes.SEPTEMBER 2024 UPDATE - couple hundred scans later device still works as well as when I bought it.

The dreaded red 'Error' light came on after just a few weeks - and this is impossible to mend. I have returned it to Amazon. This is the 3rd or 4th one I have purchased and they have all failed - but this latest one was the quickest to stop working so I wasn't too happy.

My last desktop printer/scanner broke and I needed to scan some very important documents ASAP. This product turned out to be such a good alternative. Easy to use. Portable. Lightweight. Battery operated.Scans clearly. Has micro SD card slot. Plug directly into your PC or laptop to transfer files and store as jpeg or pdf files. Slim design. I love it! I even bring it on business trips.

The user instructions were unclear and written in poor English. The red error light came on, thereby preventing scanning, and could not be turned off.

This item is more like a scam. Do not buy as mine was not functioning at all.

Für den Preis kann man nicht meckern.Handhabung geht so, man muss in Speicherkarte scannen und dann über einen Cardreader auf PC übertragen!Warum nicht einfach über USB- Kabel?????Aber ansonsten ausreichend.

Habe mit diesen Scanner gekauft um Dokumente einfach und ohne PC/Scanner zu nutzten. Dieser wird bei mir nur nach Bedarf aufgebaut. Ich finde sowas passt zu keiner Wohnungseinrichtung. Scannen per Handy ist auch eher unpraktisch. Find dann alles, bloß nicht dass was ich brauche. Aus diesem Grund finde ich den Handscanner Perfekt. Die Scans haben eine gute Qualität und werden auf eine Micro SD gespeichert diese sich an jedem Gerät auslesen lässt. Auch wenn die Batterien leer sein sollten, einfach neue AA Batterien Akkus einlegen. Somit lässt sich bei mir sämtliche Post/Briefe festhalten, welche später möglicherweise noch wichtig sind und sich einfach wieder finden lassen. Auch ist die beiliegende Software (Fine Reader) darauf ausgelegt Texte zu erkennen und in den Dokumenten zu suchen. Zum Beispiel in der such Eingabe: Rechnung xyz oder Vertrag bla, bla, dieses lässt sich alles nach kurzem suchen finden. Warte noch auf eine Sprachsteuerung dann brauch ich mir gar nichts mehr merken. Der einzige Nachteil ist die Handhabung beim Scannen welche ein steifes Handgelenk erfordert. Hat man aber nach den ersten Scans schnell raus.

Seit über 10 Jahren hatte ich den selben Handscanner, aber von einer anderen Marke. Ist aber haargenau das selbe Model. Ich brauche den Handscanner um in verschiedenen Bücher zu scannen. Das feinste ist dass man entweder als IMG oder PDF scannen kann. Mit dem neuen Handscanne habe ich schon über 30 Seiten in AhnenbÜcher gescannt. Die Qualität ist auch sehr gut. Sehr Empfehlenswert.
