Excellent, Durable Crate!!
I purchased two of these crates to replace my old crates that were completely worn out. I use these crates year round and they serve as our babies bed and home base when they need them. Our dogs are tiny ... between 6 - 13 pounds and they sleep two to a crate. These crates are very sturdy and well made. Setting them up couldn't be easier (and I have setup MANY crates in my day ... save the grandpa jokes ... :-)The top unzips to provide easy, top-down access should you need it and all sides are well ventilated. We drape a very light blanket over the crates at night to give the pups a nice dark, quiet environment to sleep.I have read the other reviews and want to speak to two different complaints/points that have been brought up. This is purely from my experience and not a review/reflection of other reviewers and the issues they have experienced:1.) Smell - I have not noticed any offensive or chemical smells whatsoever. We have an 8 week old pup that has had a few accidents on pee pads, but cleanup was a snap, with no lingering odors.2.) Durability - I have found the crates to be very durable, without defect. I will say that we do NOT allow our dogs to chew on their crates, claw at the door or mesh windows. If you have a pup/dog that chews and wants to claw his/her way out of their crate, this is not the crate for you. No cloth crate is for you. You want a metal crate. At least until they can be trained not to destroy their crate. This crate is not made of Kevlar and will not stop a determined pup from chewing/clawing his way out.Overall we are incredibly happy with our crates. They are VERY light weight and we can easily move them outside once a month to air out and let the sun cleanse them. If we decide to add a fifth pup to our pack, I would absolutely purchase this crate again.

IMPRESSIVE! High quality materials, nice solid frame, assembly is so easy.
So far this small cage has been exactly everything I needed in a cage. I’m very please w the construction of the cage as well as the quality of materials used.My Miniature Schnauzer is 7 months and still in the training phase. She scratched her way thru another mesh type cage fairly easily. With this one the mesh honestly doesn’t even look as if she’s scratched it at all but she has, several times. The set up took me no longer than 1 min from start to finish, which includes reading the instructions, it was that easy.Having said all of that I have to be transparent in saying I wouldnt buy this cage in any size for her more frequently used Kennel (I.e. the one she sleeps, naps, & stays in when we leave). But that’s got nothing to do w this cage or the quality, this is just my personal pref and what’s best for our particular needs. I’ll explain why we purchased this cage so you can see if it would suit your needs as well. We use this cage, in a smaller size, as a training crate for when she needs a timeout. We also have a bigger, more solid Kennel for her to sleep in, etc. For a while we also used that as her timeout spot. We quickly decided that we didn’t want it to become a place she equates with being in trouble. We wanted that to be her comfy, safe place. We decided to get a smaller cage that would only give her room enough to turn around n lay down or stand up, no creature comforts at all, so that’s what we did. I searched around, read a few dog blogs and ultimately chose this cage as it seemed to fit all of our needs. It arrived shortly after and, as I said earlier, I put it together within a mins time, then put it where it was to go until we needed it. I wasn’t sure how well this change would be received and was shocked at how quickly I’d find out. Within the first 2-3 days I found out just how big of an impact this lil cage had made on our newest lil bundle. However, I didn’t find out on my own. Nope, Sugar is the one who opened my eyes. Here I was concerned we’d have a hard time getting her used to the new cage but she showed me that she was already well on her way to becoming intimately acquainted with her new system lol.**day 3 of the “bad cage” system**After 15 mins upstairs putting clothes away I come down, call for my puppy and don’t get the normal running response. I call her again, nothing. Concerned, I decided to go look for her. Within a couple seconds I’m in my kitchen/breakfast area but see nothing. Moving on I swiftly Round the corner of the kitchen into the mini hall. As I’m walking with my determined gait past the CLOSED barn door, I’m reminded of why I insist on it always being closed. It’s always closed because it’s always covering the disaster that is my Laundrnado room. Shuddering with horror at what awaits me behind that gorgeous door I move on. As I enter my workout/Puppy Kennel room only to be stunned still and silent for a moment. I’m sure if I could have seen my expression I’d have found my mouth hanging open and my eyebrows in the middle of my forehead lol. To my utter confusion Sugar is in her cage and I didn’t put her there. But that’s not the truly surprising thing. The cage she was in was not just any cage, she was in her “bad cage”. After gathering my wits I shook my head n laughed a lil n said “silly girl what are u doing in there” thinking she might have been....sleepy🤔. When I said that all she did was lay her ears down and bend her head down. It was then that it dawned on me, I thought “That lil stinker. she might have actually done something she knows is wrong and put herself in timeout before I could lol.” I go in search of any suspicious evidence and sure enough, in the corner of my family room carpet, hidden as far away from me as she could, is her lil upset. I stood there kinda shocked over what just went down but quickly got it together. I went right back in there and scolded her, I had to since I refuse to live w an animal who constantly potty’s in my home, zipped her in and went out astonished at how smart this puppy is. I mean we hadn’t had the new cage 3 full days yet, she’d only been in it for behavior correction no more than 3-4 times. Plus, taking into consideration that we used her other cage for months as her timeout place, and the fact that they sit right next to one another, I was extremely impressed with how quickly she can adapt and how intelligent this breed is.So I def rec. this cage for many, many uses. Again, I don’t know that I would use it in replacement, or in lue of the bigger more solid Kennel, but this cage is perfect for my needs. Its high quality materials and easy assembly make it an easy recommendation.

Great for Travel, Very Sturdy
This may be the best purchase I've made for a dog product. I have a 2 year old 80 pound golden retriever/lab mix and purchased the largest size in this. She is crate trained and used to sleeping in an XL size wire crate every night. When we found out we were moving across the country, I immediately started worrying about how we would manage her for 5 days on the road. Having her loose and climbing all over our 3 kids wouldn't do. We thought about putting the wire crate in the van, but it is heavy and awkward and we wouldn't be able to easily move in into the hotel rooms with us. So I found this.I was impressed with the quality. It actually feels pretty sturdy and the canvas is strong. It sets up and folds down in less than 2 minutes and is light and easy to carry. There was no odor associated with it when we opened it. I set it up in the living room and put some treats in and had her go in. I closed her in for a couple of minutes, then let her out and gave her another treat. I put treats in the first time I took her on a test drive and she did great. We have a Toyota Sienna mini van and this fit well with the rear seats folded down. We turned it long ways (so the front entryway faced the rear) and we still had room for two large suitcases and several smaller bags on the other side. My dog had plenty of room in the crate. We also put her memory foam bed from her wire crate into this one for the trip and she still had plenty of roof clearance.I love that there are 3 different access doors. This actually worked well for us as I can't leave her harness on her in the car or she will chew through it. I was nervous about opening the front door and having her bolt, so I opened the top and put her harness on that way before letting her out the front. It never occurred to her to jump out the top. I also put her food and water through the top a couple of times on the road. When we got to our hotels we were able to easily break this down and carry it in and set it up again. Then she felt safe and secure in a strange place. (The first night we left it in the van and she lay at the door and barked every time someone walked down the hall- we went and got the crate, put it in a far corner, and she went right to sleep). One word of caution: be sure the zippers are completely closed. There is a little latch and hook for further security on each door. My husband didn't use the latch and left the zippers on the bottom part of the door and she was able to nose her way out. This only happened once and we were more careful after that. She loves her crate and rode very peacefully for 5 days.

Excelente y gigante
Me gustó mucho, los materiales son muy buenos, el tamaño está perfecto, es muy grande. Solo que no la recomiendo para perros jóvenes, porque la van a romper como mi perra.

Still in near perfect condition since 2014 and used every day!!
Edited to add 7 years later: Ive had 2 of these crates since 2014 and they’ve been used every single day. They remain in near perfect original condition! Dogs have pawed at the screen, had accidents in them, we’ve travelled with them, I’ve taken the cover off and washed it, it set back up again perfectly. It’s an excellent crate and very well made. :)This is a wonderful crate. It's much more aesthetically pleasing than a big wire crate with a blanket over it. Set-up was easy, it snapped into place in seconds and it can be folded down for transport in a flash. It even has a handle on it so it carries like a large briefcase, but it weighs next to nothing! This is the perfect size for a standard dachshund- even the height does not seem *ridiculously* tall for them, and I can reach in and out to fix their bedding easily enough. There have been a few comments of poor materials, but I find both of the crates I ordered to be well made. The aluminum(?) frame is light but sturdy, the fabric and mesh looks to be of good quality. No problems with zippers, everything works very well. There is even a clasp to secure the zipper pulls at the top once the door is zipped closed so that it cannot be pawed or pushed open. I can see if you have puppy or a destructive dog that this crate would not be a good idea. But that's not the crates fault, it is not meant to be chew proof. Owners just need to use their discretion. ….my update 7 years later shows it’s durable!Things I love about this crate:Colour, designMaterials - you don't need a bumper bed (to block limbs from falling out between wire bars) as they can lay up against the fabic and not be uncomfortable, unlike in wire crates.Light weight, very easy to set up and fold downLooks good, dogs like it :)Only 1 con - Upon first opening and setting up this crate there is a bit of a plastic/chemical smell. I let it air out for a few days and now it is barely noticeable, unless you go right up and sniff the material. I am sure this will continue to dissipate more (it did) and more over time. I'm not concerned about it.

Glad we purchased this crate - very handy and well made
Very impressed with this crate. Much better than the N. Miracle - fabric seems twice as durable, fits the frame without puckering and the frame is easier to assemble. If a dog wanted out, a dog would get out as is the same with all soft crates. I give this crate 5 stars because it's the best you're going to get for a portable crate. If comparing to a rigid kennel, it would get 3 stars. I wouldn't leave my dog alone inside - I have a solid kennel for that. This one is for going to agility or other training classes where we just need him to lie and wait or take a short time-out. We will use it for travel as well. Folds up and down easily and the fabric fits the frame very well. The airflow should be pretty good, but I wouldn't leave it out in the hot sun. I would still keep it in the shade in summer. I guess that's a no-brainer though. My only issue is that the zipper to open the top is a little sticky in a couple spots because the fabric fits the frame snugly and pulls on the zipper a little. So we will take it easy when opening in those spots until the fabric gives with more use. For reference, our dog is a 50 lb standard poodle. He is on the smaller side for a standard (German stock) so he can sit and stand inside and his head doesn't quite hit the top. I guess you could compare his size to a boxer. Tall and lean. He would fit into a 36", but we wanted him to have more headroom and to be able to stretch out unhindered.
