Gametown® Full Housing Shell Cover Case Pack for Nintendo DS NDS Repair Part Color Silver

Took a gamble on this one since it was the only one available at the time and no reviews to go off. It was nicely packaged and all showed up in one piece with all the parts wrapped so no scratches. I haven't tried Putting the motherboard in yet so I can't say how that fits. The silver painted plastic shell is pretty nice, has a few imperfections, but the bottom doesn't fit flush. you can see the pics. Either the top silver or the black bottom shell is the wrong size and they don't match up. for the small components it comes with tri wing screwdriver, philips, all the screws(philips) all buttons and silcones, springs, screen cover( clear plastic with black bezel). It comes with a nintendo emblem for the lid but its printed off center so can't even salvage that. Two of four silver pads are just a sheet that never was stamped so I guess that's a diy lol. Stylus and battery cover included. NO HINGES! I just can't recommend buying it unless you were planning on painting it your own color since the shells don't line up and you'll have to do some sanding. Maybe now I can use what's still good and make an unhinged version out of it.

I dont know where else to look for a ds shell but this worked fine. I was able to salvage the bottom half of the ds and use the top half of this and it has worked out.Its a good thing i was able to use the old bottom half as the buttons didnt click right and would stick in the new shell bottom. If i used it i think i would need to sand down a lot of the shell to get it to work right.It came with just about everything i needed to do the repair. Only think i didnt see was the foam gasket that goes around the screen. Not sure if it isnt in there or i lost it when opening the package but i was able to re use the old ones.

I knew these shells might have some issues fitting the motherboard in properly, but I bought this to make a gameboy macro so I was going to be cutting the inside anyway and knew the top screen wouldn't matter. With that said, the top part of the bottom shell was a good half inch wider than the bottom part, so when you put it together it had a large lip hanging over. I can handle the thing not fitting properly or being cheap quality. But that's a special kind of screwed up when the shell doesn't even fit itself.Only reason i'm not giving a one star is that it showed up on time and the colors looked nice I guess.

I get the da back together almost and the buttons are so TIGHT you can’t press them. Waste of my time and money.

I got a this shell a few weeks ago. It did come with everything needed to put together. Most the shell is alright, but some reason mine had these weird issues around the speakers. Waited a month to get this and I'm not very impressed with it.I recommend trying a different version.
