Don't be fooled by immitations, PLYLOX 1/2" Stainless Steel Hurricane Window Clips 20 Pack. Hurricane tested protection for your home. The fastest and easiest system to board up your windows. No need to drill holes, nail boards, or ruin siding. Measure and cut wood to fit inside casing, slide on Plylox clips, you will need one clip every foot (not to exceed 2 feet) up both vertical sides of plywood. Push plywood into window casing, and you are protected. To remove, just remove the tension from one side of the clips by hand. Store them in a dry place for use next time you need them.

Very interesting design concept
We used these clips to secure our home for the storm season this year. You have to cut the plywood to the exact measurements of the inside of the recessed ledge of the window, allowing 1/4 inch for the clips on the vertical edges. It only took a couple of hours to install all 14 storm shutters with the clips. The only negative is that the clips will scratch the stone/paint/finish of the wall of the window as the shutters are removed so you will have to plan for a retouch accordingly. They did actually chip the stone in a couple of spots! Not too bad considering they are only used once a year for the season when we shut the house down and leave. If you live in the house year round it damage would only occur if you put up the shutters bc a hurricane is coming your way and its time to batten it down.

Great clips exactly as advertised
These clips are a perfect solution for use with storm window products. It is designed for plywood, but will work with solid wood as well. The clips work very well and hold snugly. I am using this on a brick house and have discovered that if you handle the clips properly while putting up or taking down it will not damage your break at all. I purchased the stainless steel clips and am so glad I did; I will never have to worry about their rusting and having to replace them. Highly recommend this product!

Hurricane season is upon us.
Just as described. Arrived quickly. Hey Floridians......don't wait too long to get these clips. Be sure to get the stainless steel ones. These are easy and fast to install. Well worth the one time investment as the clips are reusable each year. It's almost June 1st. Last year's epic hurricane Irma left hardware stores with no inventory. Don't let that happen to you. It won't happen to me again.

So far so good
Bought these to get ready for hurricane season. Cant afford to put shutters at the moment but these things should do the job just right. I cant say that I cant wait to try them all because that would mean a storm is coming...but we did try it on one window and it worked like a charm. Will keep you posted. Hopefully its a quiet season!

Realized I'd lost a few over the years and ordered ...
Realized I'd lost a few over the years and ordered these with Hurricane Harvey a few hundred miles offshore, and they arrived less than 48 hours later on the day of landfall. I was able to board up my remaining windows and hunker down. We were 10 miles south of the eyewall and saw 100+mph winds for over 6 hours. These are simple, quick, and don't budge until you remove them.

would have sucked if I did not have anything protecting the window
Quick and strong. In Japan when typhoon is coming all you can do is bunker down and ride it out. With this at least the window won't get smashed whole sleeping. Heard couple loud bangs on the plywood; would have sucked if I did not have anything protecting the window.
