Each of the screw extractors were in the color gold in the picture. They all arrived in a darkish brown color, as if they had been subjected to a hostile environment.

I have tried to use screw extractors before, but never had success. I was finally able to get out 2 damaged screws with this product. I had to drill a little bit in the screw heads first.

An excellent and in expensive product to remove stripped screws. Works for me!

What a clever idea this is, but like so many clever ideas that are theoretically valid when applied in real life it is an abysmal failure. My dissatisfaction is NOT specific to this version of this clever idea, but since I have not tried other versions I can't rule out that this version is just bad. Let me hasten to add I do NOT think this item is bad only that for this clever idea to work it must be applied to a very narrow set of parameters. If you have a locked screw deeply rooted in wood or metal then forget about this product working as it is advertised. You will notice that each and every YouTube illustration of a successful application is 1. Not deeply and securely rooted in a tight footing. 2. The screw is "lightly" held either by it being as big or smaller than its root hole and 3. No paint, rust or God forbid glue is holding the screw. I'm not an engineer but I hold a graduate degree and I am careful and know how to follow directions. As I say, clever idea and within a VERY narrow set of parameters it will probably work, but if you live in the real work like I do, be prepared to conclude, "well, this was a waste of money."

Did not work in several attempts. The tool stripped out before the screw did. Want them back?

These things are garbage. Followed all the instructions in the item description, because they didn’t send any with the tool. Completely rounded off one of the extractors. I don’t know about all the people that say they are good, but the screws they are trying to remove must not really be stuck. I finally extracted the screw by other means. Don’t waste your money.

I have 3 latches that have stripped screws from previous owners. The kit couldn’t get a single screw out. I even tried the rubber band hack with these pieces and still nothing.
