Belle Poque Retro Vintage Dress Short Sleeve Off Shoulder Pencil Dress for Party Cocktail Formal Evening Wedding

Love this dress! Before it came in (the day before I needed it, but exactly when I expected), I panicked. I’d talked myself out of it (didn’t trust ordering online without trying on). I went out and spent quadruple the cost on a dress I really liked. Well, now that I compare them, THIS is the dress I’ll be wearing! It is SO much prettier than I expected.. These pics show the dress right out of the box. Steaming will help release the wrinkles (which aren’t terrible, considering it arrived folded up in a waterproof bag). The color is beautiful (not as bright as Kelly, not as dark as forest). The fit is slim & fitted to me (possibly a bit too snug). I had planned to wear a strapless bra, but now I don’t think it’s necessary. I thought it would feel at least a little cheap.. The fabric isn’t so thick that it feels like a winter material, but it does feel substantial. It supports my breasts (but I’ll have to wear pasties / nipple concealing petals). I’m tickled the neckline isn’t cut too low (I have to wear a visible camisole or undershirt with nearly everything to keep my cleavage from being on display). It doesn’t feel like it “holds” me in, but it has some forgiveness/stretch, making it quite comfortable. Spanx will help with my midsection, considering it’s a tad tight (I carry some weight in my tummy area & don’t care for seeing my belly button outline). I was concerned about it not being a Petite, but I’m satisfied with this length. If it were any longer I’d have it hemmed. The split in the back isn’t too high or long. It’s really cut well. I do NOT have small and/or fit arms. The sleeves are fine but tight enough to help hold up the dress. The only negative or odd thing is a weird fold right at the top of the middle seam. (see pic) Not enough to make it blouse over or look like two separate pieces, but defined enough that it remains even when I pull down on the skirt. Regardless, this dress is a winner! First of all, the sizes are TRUE TO SIZE! I went a size bigger because I wasn't sure and now I wish I had picked my true size! It's made so incredibly well that words can't describe how impressed I am with it! The quality along with the INCREDIBLE price has me sold and I will be looking at their other dresses because I think I just found the hidden gem in the game of gorgeous dresses!!! <3 Already referred my bestie and she's hopping on to check them out too! Now if only we would open up so I could wear it somewhere...

I am in love with this dress. I bought it in Pine Green, it is a beautiful color, the fabric has a lot of give to it and it makes for a really comfortable dress. I took my measurements and based on the size chart I would have been a size 16. After reading other reviews, I sized down one size and that was a great decision. The size 14 fits beautifully. I am 5'7, 183ish pounds, and the 14 fits perfectly at the bust and shoulders, no drooping or sagging. This comes almost exactly to my knees and has the most beautiful silhouette. I definitely recommend this dress to anyone. the color is vibrant and stunning. I am wearing this dress for dual purposes - it is a dress to wear to a wedding and my halloween costume as Joan Harris from Mad Men. Wedding and Halloween Party are on the same night.

I love this dress or shall I say I loved it. I brought this dress for a cruise, however my dear husband left our formal clothes in the airport shuttle and we did not realize it until three days into the cruise. Nonetheless I never got to wear it, but when I tried it on after arrival, it fit perfect. I love the shape and stretch. I ordered the green one and it was very vibrant. I am going to re-order another one soon. Ugh!

This dress is absolutely adorable IF you are honest about your body and buy the right size. I am 5'6", about 175 lbs, and newly curvy. Since I discovered this brand Bella Poque on Amazon, I have fell in love! I own at least 8 dresses and 4 skirts from Bella Poque and have purchase size XL for everything. This dress is soft, stretchy, and very flattering. The top portion is lined with a lovely slippery silk type fabric that smooths bumps and allows the dress the lay just right. Buy this dress but buy the right size, nothing worse than a dress that is too tight! I have received so many compliments on the color, fit and style!

This is a true navy blue and is beautiful. I ordered a size 16. I am 5’7, 175 lbs with an hourglass shape. The dress is overall too big so I ordered a size 14 instead. Even though this has a side zipper I was able to just slip it over my head without unzipping it. The top laid funny but that could be because it was too big. I’ll review the smaller size when I get it. Over all if you can figure out the size it’s beautiful. This is also a thicker material so it gives the look of good quality.

I bought this dress for my 20th high school reunion and could not have been more pleased! The dress came really fast, packaged nicely. It was wrinkled but nothing a steamer didnt fix. The color is beautiful. It is like a Kelly Green. Material is nice and overall product is well made and does have a lining. It hits just below the knees and really does have a 60's vintage feel. The dress is very flattering. The off the shoulder part stayed in place most of the night. I received so many compliments! I am 5'6, 165lbs and got a size 10 and it fit like a glove! May buy in another color.

Ive been looking for a cocktail-style wedding dress that is flattering with out being too tight AND hides my (aging) upper arms. I am 5’7” 130 lbs and usually wear a medium, a size 8 or a size 10 in dresses. I purchased this pine green dress in a size 8. The material is just stretchy enough to be forgiving at the waist line and yet fits close enough to the body for definition of my shape. I will take up the hem 1.5 inches because I prefer the hem at my knee not just below my knee. I will pair this dress with copper or pewter strappy sandals and a satisfied smile.
