Orient Electric Aeroslim 1200mm BLDC motor Smart Ceiling Fan with IOT, Remote & Under light (White Marble)

I will try to give a honest review.Purchasing & Installation.I brought it on Amazon India on 16th June 2020 and it got delivered the very next day. Thumbs up.Called up Orient customer care on 16th June 2020 for installation, reminded them on 19th June 2020.Yet I didnt hear from the technician. And today is 25th June 2020.I installed the fan by myself yesterday with the help of Engineering 3rd semester electrical skills and Youtube installation guide. It took me almost an hour to replace my old fan with this.Not a perfect installation. Im awaiting for the technician to make it fit perfectly to the ceiling.About the product.I was doing a lot of research for under-light fans and ended with Orient Aeroslim. I liked the new design which has covered the rod which gives the premium look to the fan. The fan looks exactly the same as you see in pictures.Things which I liked :- Definitely the premium look which made two of my guests inquiring about it the very moment they entered the house within a day.- The air throw is good, I can sit at any corner of my living room ( 15 x 16 feet ) and still feel the air when the fan speed is at 5.- I dont hear the motor noise, but the usual wind blowing hissing noise is unavoidable. When I checked decbels, it showed around 55 to 60 DB.- One of the reason I choose this fan is for the breeze mode which I have in my AC. The feature is kinda cool like the fan switches between speed level 3 to 5.- I liked both the remote and the IOT app. Both are cool and useful. I was pranking few elders at home by turning off the light / fan using my phone :pThings I didn't like or needs improvement.- The under-light is really useless. It is neither bright enough to light the room nor dim enough to use as a night lamp and watch TV. Orient should have added 5 levels in the light from 1 as night lamp to 5 as bright reading lamp say 15 watts LED. Could have also added color switching.- The blades look so plane and flat. Kinda dull looking.- The center cup where the LED is fixed could have been little bigger with a bigger light.- OVER-PRICED. The fan should be around 5K to 6K which would be reasonable.

Latest Update => One of my fan stopped working (remote control and mobile) and now running very slow (less than 1 point speed). I called customer care, they assigned the technician, technician saying that PCB has to be replaced. I am calling him and his supervisor again and again. It's now more than 3 weeks and they are saying PCB is not available.First Update => I ordered two of aeroslim fans from amazon. Orient people came to install it. Please don't get it to install from inexperience people. I was worried if it doesn't look good then what would happen. But it beat my expectations and looked exactly as it is in pic. I would recommend the fan. I bought two aero-quiet also but I now regret that decision. I could have got all four aero-slim.Second Update => got a call from their product head and after that their service executives visited twice and changed multiple components. looks ok now. Upgrading the rating.

The fan is working fine however remote is not working properly for last six months. Do not know from where to buy a new remote. Not getting in Amazon to purchase remote only. It will be a great support if the manufacturer or seller can guide on from where to purchase remote. If i will not get new remote then i have to discard this fan as without remote do not know how to operate this fan.

I bought totally 4 of these fans for my house. Out of the 4 fans I ordered one of them stopped working with in the 10 day returned period and I returned the product.At the time of buying these fans its price was just under 8k. When you spend that kind of money on a fan, you expect certain level of quality from it. Unfortunately, these fans don't have it.When one of the fans developed a bearing noise, I decided to open it up and check the internals. I was totally disappointed by the quality of components used on this product.Both the armature and field had started developing rust within a few months of use. The noise was coming from a rusted bearing. I have seen much cheaper fans using far better bearings and quality components. There in nothing I could find in this fan which justify its price.These fans are very sensitive to voltage surges and fluctuations. So, please ensure to connect some sort of a surge protection device to your electrical system.The fan works quite seamlessly with Amazon Alexa. At the time of buying these fans Alexa didn't have the ability to increase or decrease the speed of the fan. Recently it acquired the skill and "Alexa reduce the fan" would reduce the speed.Its remote controller is very flimsy. It has a small display to show the speed of the fan. It stopped working on two of the fans.If the fan starts to switch on or off by its own, install the app and check if there any timers scheduled. There seems to be some bug in the orient app.

I got second time the correct product and my review here :1-Fan is designed beautifully, finishing is good2- assembly is not easy for every electrician however user guide available which can be used and electrician can install this3-Light in FAN comes with yellow colour , it’s not just white4-Wifi configure is tricky but manageable5- Alexa testing with echo dot is easy but with phone is not effective6-orient app works beautifully and you can do all function smoothly7- remote also works and made with good quality8- rates can be less than 7 KOverall except rate , this is very good product .
