cured my itchy skin
I was having trouble with extremely itchy skin, especially right after showering. I tried MANY different products, assuming that I must be allergic to something in whatever soap/body wash/shampoo/conditioner I was using. This body wash plus the hair conditioner from the same brand seems to have fixed the problem. I used the body wash to shampoo as an experiment (after reading the ingredients carefully) and was amazed at how well it worked to clean, condition, and add tons of volume to my color-treated, slightly thinning hair. The scent is mostly sandalwood and seems slightly masculine, but I just use a little vanilla perfume to smell more girly.

LOVE THIS PRODUCT. LEAVES SKIN SOFT AND SMOOTH!
I normally don't do reviews but I had too for this product. I bought this liquid black soap, because I wanted a soap I could travel with on my next trip instead of bringing a bar of my black soap. This soap lathers so good. You only need a small size squeeze on you cloth and place over your body. Once you rinse you skin will be so soft and smooth. The smell isn't bad. For the price I received two bottles. I'm very impressed. I would be ordering more in the future.

Such a great find
I've always liked this product - been using it for years. There is a bit of grit in it but that's what I appreciate about it - helps to exfoliate the skin. I love the smell, texture, and the fact that it washes off clean without any type of residual 'soapy' feeling to my skin. I actually use less of this product than any other liquid body soap because it is very thick/rich. The fact that I can get it cheaper on Amazon than in stores nearby me is a definite plus.

Very Gentle Body Wash for Sensitive Skin
I've never been someone to really take into account their body wash. I always just used a bar of soap, scrubbed really hard, and rinsed. My boyfriend was the one to originally introduce me to African Black Body Wash. I have to admit, it took me by surprised. You only have to use very little of this soap to wash yourself off. Probably about two teaspoons of it on a scrubber gives you plenty of nice suds. I don't know how to describe it except you can just feel this deep clean in your pours. Once I rinse off my skin is also very soft and has a light scent to it for the rest of the day. I've also noticed I don't have a lot of breakouts. I have eczema so I have to be careful about the soaps I use. Body washes have always been a problem for me. I'm glad to have found one that works so well especially with my problematic skin type.

Absolutely love this wash
Absolutely love this wash. I have very sensitive skin that tends to have reactions to most products. Ive been using this body wash for about 4 years now and I refuse to use anything else. My skin doesn't react to it, and its flawless. I haven't had any more rashes or breakouts. I also use it for shaving my legs.

Don't listen to the directions on the bottle - use a loofah!
The directions on the bottle say to use your hands or a washcloth. However, in my experience, neither of these worked AT ALL. I couldn't get a lather, so literally on every arm or leg I had to dump more soap into my hand. After going back through some of the reviews to see if other people had the same problem, I tried it in my loofah, and it seemed to lather much better. It has a musty, earthy smell that I like. So far, I can't tell any difference with my acne though.

The body lotion is also good to use in conjunction with the soap
This product really works because I've witnessed it myself. I was having issues with my skin where I had lotus and some other soars growing on my skin. The doctor prescribed me some pharmaceutical grade dandruff shampoo and Hydrocortisine Ointment USP 2.5% to control the itching of my skin. I began to realize that the more I used them, the more my skin was getting irritated. I then went to a GNC store where I saw the African Black Soap product. I bought it along with some raw almond oil. I used it for about 5 days until I started to see my skin clearing up. I never went back to the doctor. I've been using the African Black Soap products for over three months now and my skin is clear and free of any lotus, acne and soars. The body lotion is also good to use in conjunction with the soap..
