I've had this device for 2 weeks now and I have to say, so far, it appears to work as advertised. It doesn't stop the dog from barking immediately, but my neighbor's dog doesn't bark nearly as long or as often as she used to. Every time I hear her barking, I turn on the device. Once she stops barking, I turn it off. Slowly she has barked less and less often, and not nearly as long as she used to. And now, when she hears me come out to turn the device on, she usually stops right then or shortly after I turn it on. And an added benefit: I think my neighbors have seen the green light flashing and have figured out that it's some kind of bark deterrent device. I've talked to them about the barking before, but now now it seems that they bring the dog inside a lot quicker, for whatever reason. But that's cool with me, I just wanted some peace and quiet. Problem solved.I haven't used the whistle enough to comment.

I bought for indoor use. The first week i used it both my dogs stopped barking and were scared by the sound. By the second week my puppy started barking again. Not as much but still more than I hoped. But my older dog was being affected every time my puppy barked. I also found that people will set it off too if they get too loud. Like watching a football game with family, we set it off several times by accident.

Perfect. I have small dogs and they do not bark and are not fence Line aggressive. Neighbors big dogs are fence Line aggressive and actually killed one of my dogs by digging into our yard under the fence. This product keeps the neighbors killer bully dogs off the fenceline as their barking has been controlled by this device and they fear this device...it works. Gives me great peace of mind for my other dogs. Buy it, I am glad I did

It really seemed to curb the barking when we first bought it but the flashing light is very bright, we had to put a piece of electrical tape over it. I don't know if the battery runs down fast or if the dogs have just got used to it but it doesn't seem to stop them like it did in the beginning. It's really hard to tell if it's in my head or it really works... I'm gonna go with it works more on the bigger dogs but our little pup hasn't changed her barking habits at all. My advice? Try it out, some people swear by it.

Works for one of my German shepherds but the other one ignores it. One is hypersensitive to it and has been hiding in the basement for two days now. She was the worst barker, so that is good but now I need to find a happy medium. Wish it worked on the other one too.

It works really well! I only had one dog out of my 3 that was afraid of it, but she soon adjusted. I gave 4 stars because it does go through batteries pretty quickly. I definitely recommend the Bark Controller, though, and I’m sure my neighbors are relieved that my dogs aren’t constantly barking when they go out!

Did not work with my schnoodle.

can't tell if it's working or not. neighbors dogs keep barking even though the led light is flashing. the barkfree brand that i used to be able to get could be set to audible so you knew if it was working or not
