This book has a touch of everything I like in a publication: inspiration, great photography, places both immediately easily accessible and some with more planning, and great personalities to go with it. Anne and Mike's personalities shine through in the page of this book. (And if you want to see other travel couples they feature those too!) Also great that it's softcover, which makes it a little lighter to travel with if you want it for reading material on the road or to take on a plane.They include great travel tips and things to remember in the beginning of the book and some extra general info at the end too. Easy to read and digest, and you don't have to read it in order. I've enjoyed opening it to a page and seeing the destination as a surprise, reading about the possibilities there.Highly recommend this book for frequent travelers who are looking for new ideas for their adventures or newbie travelers who want to dream big.

This is not your normal travel guide, it is much more than that—it is meant to inspire you to pack your bags and get out and explore the world. Not the “when it is Tuesday, it is Belgium” kind of travel but travel that will open up the world and broaden one’s horizons. Many of us travel and see one monument after another, one great piece of nature after another—come home and show of photos of where we have been, without having really experienced the country.Anne and Mike encourage you to become travelers who want to drink deeply from the country and its people and their culture, respect the locals and their traditions and admire their heritage. Yet have lots of fun. By sharing food, mingling with people, learning from them, sharing some their daily life experiences—the traveler leaves with a lasting and greater understanding of this diverse world and its inhabitants-to develop and respect the differences—it truly broadens the mind.One doesn’t have to do everything they did, but this book is a great inspiration to get out of one’s own comfort zone –maybe stay with a local family, see some places off the beaten track. See the well-known, but also explore the little-known places as well. For example, in Mui Ne, Vietnam there are fancy resorts to be enjoyed for sure but you shouldn't miss exploring the charming local fishing village nearby.The subtitle says it all—“Extraordinary destinations on every continent,”and just reading about each will make you richer in mind and spirit.

Frankly, this book is beautiful and amazing. The authors literally did what any happy couple would want to do in life...travel the world!!! But, if I thought my wife and I traveled (we did a 1 month honey moon), Mike and Anne did a honeytrek on steroids. They traveled everywhere and they didn't go anywhere lame. The reason why I think this book is worth the purchase is that it is a great reference for places to go AND how to travel on a budget and as a couple. There is great insight in it as well. The photography is great and they took many of the photos themselves.By the way, now Mike and Anne have been driving around North America in an old camper trying to write a book on Glamping. Yeah, they live the life.Look, I am an experienced traveler, but Ultimate Journeys for Two has helped open my eyes up to future plans for my wife and me. Now all I need is to get my kids to grow up!!! Maybe we'll just do their journey and make a second book called Ultimate Journeys for Four.....nah!!!!!

I love this beautiful and inspirational book by HoneyTrek, which is not only a wonderful gift but also an incredibly helpful resource. The Honeytrek Tip is a favorite aspect as Mike and Anne provide an insider tip to help you immerse in the destination. I also appreciated that it's organized by activity rather than country as I'm often brainstorming about what I'd like to do while traveling and then determining the best place to indulge. The gorgeous photos accompanying the text both transport and entice. This is an invaluable resource that I'm using to plan some of of my bucket list destinations including seeing polar bears in Churchill, Canada; stargazing in Atacama, Chile; admiring glaciers in Western Greenland

Mike and Anne Howard’s "Ultimate Journeys for Two" is a feast for the eyes, and senses! I could almost hear the sounds, and smell the foods, to say nothing of the beauty of their images. It is unlikely that I will ever visit even 10% of these amazing and unusual places, off the beaten path, but Mike and Anne have repeatedly given me a vicarious thrill with the turn of every page!As Mike’s high school photography teacher, I admit I may be a bit biased about the images, but they are nothing short of stunning! The colors, the faces, the plates of local cuisine, the animals…these photos are compelling…they make me think the only possible thing to enhance this book would be sound clips and scratch and sniff pages! So often tourists return from their journeys seeming to have viewed their trips through the viewfinders of their cameras, but not in Ultimate Journeys! Anne and Mike’s photos never seemed rushed, and each seemed chosen with care and attention to the entire environment!Whether you plan, or even just hope, to visit some of the many spots the Howards have chronicled, this book will inspire beyond words…literally! It is sure to leave you breathless, and yearning for your own Ultimate Journey.

There are tons of awesome activities and adventures in this book, making it a great resource if you're looking to plan your next getaway with that special someone.I've had the pleasure of meeting Mike and Anne a few times over the years, and they are two amazing people whose zest for life and love of travel shine through in this book. Definitely get yourself a copy!!

Molto interessante

Das Buch ist wirklich toll und schön geschrieben. Es ist jetzt kein Reiseführer, aber ein guter Ideenlieferer. Am besten gefällt mir die Unterteilung, da es hilft für jeden das Richtige zu finden. Leider waren die Ecken bei der Lieferung etwas abgenutzt bzw. verbogen.
