Motorcraft Ignition Switch - SW2474

Its Motorcraft, after going through 3 Chinese made ignition switches and my last was new, lasted 5 starts and about caught on fire in the steering column. Luckily I had the shrouds off the column, it dropped red hot melted bits on the carpet. So.....the Motorcraft, tho costs more, hasn't let me down yet. 1985 Ford Mustang GT

The description picture shows new fasteners included. I ordered it thinking new fasteners included justified the high price. But new fasteners were missing from the part I received. Per the Ford Shop manual, these are "break-off head bolts". Existing ones have to be drilled out and *new* ones used to install the new switch. Can not reuse old fasteners.I didn't know if I had an open box special or what, so returned the part for a refund.

Fixed my ignition problem which was the blower, lights, etc turning on and off. I keep a lot of keys on my keyring. After 22 years the switch wore out.
