young dragons love this stuff
I work as a dragon nanny, and I can tell you, young dragons love this stuff. You don't want to spend too much on their first hoard, or invest in flawless diamonds gems when they're too young to properly look after them, but this is just perfect for a "Dragon's First Hoard." You get the feel of a handful of natural gemstones, and they sparkle in the sun like you wouldn't believe, but you don't wind up breaking the bank. Use it to reward your dragon for going a full month without accidentally setting anything on fire, or supplement a hoard of peridot and citrine stones (as I've done) to celebrate successful house training (i.e., not burning/melting any important household items for a full year). You can also use them to make nice bridal wear, such as by gluing them to hair pins or making hair twirls that look much nicer than most on the market. Though you'll to hide doing so, as you'll have to deal with sad baby-dragon eyes if they see you using dragon treats in such a manner.

Winner of two trials!
Well i made the purchase of the 100ct pack to see the quality of the product, i dis this with 2 different places, and this particular one is the better of the 2! I will be purchasing the 1000ct pack next, only issue was the packaging i believe that has caused 2 of the gems to get broken hopefully the larger amount is packaged better

Good assortment of size and kind
I am no gemologist but luckily my wife is and she said it was a fair price the the cuts and quality. By fair I mean expect chips and inclusions and everything else you can think of. Better yet think of these as test pieces from students who are trying to learn to cut gems. I would also say that I was surprised to find some larger very well cut stones in there too. I mean I don't know what you would use them for but for my need (put a whole bunch in a small vial to refract light in various directions) they were great.

Great value
These are so beautiful! My lot didn't look like the one in the picture. Also, some very badly cut, chipped, and included gems, but still great for the price. I'm getting into making jewelry. I probably won't order these again because I'd prefer AAA quality gems for my pieces, but they're still really good value. I'm so happy I got them!PS: I got a beautiful clear green stone. It's so cute; my favorite by far. It had a great cut (still a wonky girdle...) and basically looked like an emerald (not a peridot! I actually didn't get a single one...). I'm still wondering what it is. Green spessartite?

They are really pretty and my kids and I had fun checking them ...
I bought these as a prop for a role playing game I play. They are really pretty and my kids and I had fun checking them out.The picture is misleading though. There were no blue sapphires. However, there were quite a few large 3-4 carot stones that will do perfectly for what I paid. There are a lot of amethyst and garnet, the rest is one of several types that I don't know exactly what they are.

Small, small, small
I've ordered from gemmart USA and one other company but Great American Coin Company offered the widest selection, albeit with the highest price too but I thought it would be worth it because the description says the majority of stones fall in the .5-3ct range. So I bought 300cts (3 100ct pkgs.) and was highly disappointed when they arrived. These were by far the tiniest stones offered by any company on Amazon. I can see one random scoop being from the bottom and receiving a lot of tiny ones from that but all three? The selection, clarity, cut, etc. was all acceptable but I just couldn't get over the size. Out of 300cts. I received 9 stones larger than 1ct. The other two companies had many, many stones in the 2-3ct. range with the same cuts and clarity. They also arrived in 3 small ziplock bags (appropriate) but in an unpadded envelope. I couldn't in good faith order from them again.

NOT AS PICTURED; NOT AS DESCRIBED
NOT AS PICTURED, NOT AS DESCRIBED.After reading the description that there would be "Alexandrite, Amethyst, Ametrine, Aquamarine, Citrine, Cornelian, Emerald, Garnet, Iolite, Moonstone, Moganite, Onyx, Opal, Peridot, Ruby, Sapphire, Smokey Quartz, Rhodolite, Spessartite, Star Diopside, Tanzanite, Tsavorite, Topaz and Zircon"I expected an actual mix of those gems. Instead my mix ONLY CONTAINED Amathesis, Garnet, and a few Smokey Quartz.AS FOR THE CUTS OF THESE SAID ITEMS:"Fancy, Heart Shape, Hexagon, Marquise, Octagon, Oval, Pear Shape, Princess, Round Sphere, Square and Trilliant."There were only cuts of circle, oval, and a single Princess cut.I had ordered the same amount of gems (100+ carats) from multiple companies and so far, this was the only one whose description did not match the product.

TIny, inexpensive horde! Satisfied customer!
I am an amateur jeweler, and wanted to try out some stone setting. The scoop I got has a nice variety of stones, shapes and sizes. Some are more finished than others, some are quirky, but I have some that are giving me inspiration, and I'm not worried about screwing up or losing them!Hehe - I call it my dragon horde, as did someone else here. I would definitely buy again!
