I moved my bike inside on a trainer for the winter. Rather than watching tv, I wanted to find things on the iPad to do while riding. I found the iShot Mount and have been pleased with it.I was concerned it might not fit on the handle bars since I have a hybrid and the bars have a few bends in them. Not a problem. This device is very adaptable and I easily was able to mount it. I've had no problems with it moving or slipping once secured.The mount seems to be made for devices thicker than the iPad. There is extra space at the top and bottom clamp where the iPad is held. Stationary that my bike is now, this is not a problem. I just tighten the clamp and we're good. I did see that this was sugested for wheelchairs and golf carts. I would be a bit concerned using this on those devices. It probably works just fine because the clamp can get pretty tight but the gap just concerns me a bit. Hence the 4 stars.But for what I need it for on a bike inside, it works great.

The copy for the item claims that it is a universal tablet mount compatible with 10" tablets. I bought it hoping to use it with my ASUS EEEpad trasformer, but it only works if you mount the tablet in landscape orientation. It doesn't fit in portrait orientation, which makes it useless for me. You could put it in landscape and rotate it, but then you are relying only on friction to hold the tablet, which is too risky.I'm sure it can handle an iPad in either orientation.I returned it, but due to the exorbitant shipping cost they charged and having to pay return shipping myself, I only got back about 1/2 of what I paid.So don't buy this for a tablet larger than the iPad

Well, I purchased this item and could not believe what I received. If I could rate it in minus terms, I would say a minus 10. why do I say this, well let me start:First it states that it's for an IPAD, but the slots to hold it are to big, it is hard to adjust it, or make it stay in place if you move the IPAD; lets say you want to read, or watch a movie on your IPAD while you are riding your stationary bicycle, well you are going to lose your IPAD.The clip doesn't even fit a handlebar and it is cheaply made, it falls apart once opened, to include the rubber pieces. Whatever it may be that you are thinking on attaching this clip better be small.The reality is, it was not what I expected; so yes they surprised me, but not for the best.I would turn this item back in, but have no desire to even deal with these people.I have a stationary road bicycle trainer(TACX), and the whole purpose for me to have purchased the mount was to do work, read, watch movies, etc... on my IPAD, but that will not happen.This item surely is not what it seems to be, and for sure it will be a waist of your money.The only reason why I gave it one star is because if I did not give it anything I would not be able to write this review and submit it.

I purchased this product to attached to the microphone boom stand that I use for band rehearsals and shows.PROS: The attachment did hold the tablet securely and I did not have a fear of it slipping out of the grips and falling on the floor.CONS: Since I stand when I sing/play...I wanted the tablet to attach higher on the stand where I could see it better, but the mount would only secure tightly on the lower portion of the stand, making it hard to see. I tried to use material around the mic stand to make the attachment grip tighter, but it would not stay without sliding. Also, the product tilts slightly, but does not tilt enough to where it was comfortable to view from a standing angle. Needless to say...I ended up not using it for my last show and put the tablet on a music stand instead.

I too have this mounted on my road bike for indoor training. It's not the sturdiest thing around, but it gets the job done. One nice feature is that it will accommodate an iPad even with a thick leather case. It mounts securely and is easy to adjust. However, I am highly skeptical that his would work for a golf cart or anything else that actually moves. I'd suggest a RAM Mount for such an application. For light use, though, this iShot works just fine.

I needed a solution to eleminate the music stand I was useing to hold my three ring binder with song lyrics. I purchased an e-tablet but was at a loss on how to get it in front of me to read song lyrics. The Ishot mount fit the bill! By removing the upper plate of my music stand and clamping the IShot right to the music stand itself I can now elevate the e-tablet to a good reading level. Problem solved!

Wanted to mount on a bar on my sailboat. Mounts nicely in e vertical position, but because the mount point on the back is off centered. So it doesn't work well for me.

i used it for my wheel chair bracket, and it is plastic and will break but is not to bad and works to hold my Ipad for talking
