My son is 10 but on the shorter, slimmer side (60 pounds). I was concerned that these shin guards would be too big, but they’re not! Well worth it.

I didn't know that. I might have missed it in the description. Based upon the picture I though they would be foam and strapped on.However, they hold up well. We have been using them for months for sparring. THey offer decent protection and are pretty durable.

My son used the strap-on shin straps for years and wasstill coming home hurt and bruised from karate. I ordered these so maybe they wouldn't slide. He loves them sooo much and no longer gets injuries.

These can be challenging to put on and remove, especially after sweating. They also have an awkward fit at the ankle.

It’s basically foam under a sock like material but I didn’t want to spend a lot of money for my kids if they weren’t gonna continue with kickboxing so gave these a try. Good for little kids in the 5-10 year range
