Q: Is it possible to use earphones other than the ones provided?

No you can’t use headphones as it has a different connector, to be honest I wouldn’t buy this, the sound quality is poor, sounds good when you set it up at home but when your on the bike you can barley hear it

The KY motorbike bluetooth headset standby time up to 1 week, talk time is about 10hours, please note.

Q: intercom so what these are not intercom with each other? Hence they are not actually intercomes just headsets for phones?

These do not have an intercom capability like you're thinking - no direct radio connection between two or more riders. However, this connects to your phone via Bluetooth, and you can call other riders on your phone and talk to each other that way. In fact, my friends and I have 8 of these between us, and use Discord to talk to each other and even listen to the same music in sync.
