Great product, very versatile, 18" Ex-Pen
Love it!I don't use this as a pen as much as I do a barrier. We just bought a new leather couch and didn't want our Scotties scratching the cushions while unattended. This works great in a self supported, extended, zig-zag configuration for denying access to specific areas while easily being able to step over. It's lightweight yet sturdy, highly configurable with unconstrictive motion. It doesn't overpower the room in height and the silver color blends with and accents the surrounding area. We purchased this to protect the couch but it has also been a great tool during carpet cleaning. We don't like our little four footed kids walking on the carpet until it's completely dry, this pen/fence keeps them out, especially when doing partial cleaning of rooms. No attempt has been made by any of our Scotties to go over the top but our precious "Houdini" Scottie has surprised us, accessing the couch one night by slithering around the end that wasn't entirely butted up to the wall.I noticed that others have complained about this product, stating that their dogs have simply moved the pen or reconfigured the shape in an attempt to free themselves. This can be resolved a few ways. I have a taller (36") Precision brand pen that I've used for puppy training. I took a 3/4" sheet of 4' x 6' plywood, wrapped it in linoleum (glued top, wrapped edges and tacked to bottom), formed the desired diamond shaped pen and finally secured the pen to the plywood. To do so, I used a total of 13 plastic coax cable clamps, wrapping them around the base of each wire panel and fastened using screws installed down through linoleum & into plywood along outside perimeter. If you can't accommodate the plywood subsurface, you could simply cut 8 pieces of aluminum rod (1/4" min. diameter) each approximately 12" long. Bend the rods at center to the desired corner angle (135 degrees if forming an octagon shaped pen). Attach the rods to the wire panels along the top perimeter at each outside corner using a minimum of 3 clamps (1 at corner & 1 near each end of rod). You can attach the rods using large zip ties or use small metal hose clamps if you've got a chewer.Update: I've had this pen for almost 5 years, using it exclusively indoors. It's been functioning extremely well but has tarnished extensively, so I'm buying another one but I intend to spray the new one (in folded configuration) using Rust-Oleum Crystal Clear Enamel. I may end up spraying the older pen a different color since it's not rusted...just tarnished. A $5 can of paint should bring it up to looking new again.

Protected our Christmas tree from dogs that love to chew!
We needed a way to protect our Christmas tree and all of our family ornaments from labs that will eat everything in sight and still be able to see and enjoy our tree. This pen was just what we needed. The gold color helped seemed to blend in a little better than the black ones I had seen. Delivery was delayed about 10 days, but that was the fault of the USPS/UPS transfer and not the seller. I am pleased with the product and feel it will work well for my intended use.

Misleading Product Description--Poorly Designed
I am extremely disappointed in the 36" high version of the Pro-Handler Ex-Pen. The description of its features is not representative of the product; nor does it effectively stress that these panels do NOT have an "entry door with latches" as most of your competition does."Eight included detachable panels" gives a potential purchaser the distinct impression these are easily detachable panels; they are not!A generous donor (from NY) had one of your above-referenced 36" ex-pens bought & shipped thru Amazon.com to my small, private rescue (in WA) to help contain nine rapidly growing and extremely active pitbull mix puppies that I am raising/fostering for another local rescue group (ARRF Animal Rescue in Cle Elum, WA).I had been excited anticipating your ex-pen's delivery (it was delivered yesterday) to keep these puppies safely contained away from exposed electrical cords (due to heaters needed in their renovated horse shed where it is currently snowing already here in the mountains of WA state); and/or knocking down the heaters (creating a fire hazard)...the size would have been perfect, but the lack of an easily accessible latching door and the panels not being easily detachable for the configuration needed now forces our rescue to try to find something else that will easily and safely contain these puppies. Please consider re-wording your product description on Amazon.com and any other place where you advertise so others won't buy your product only to be disappointed and have a negative review of the product and your company as misrepresenting the features--that for certain circumstances may be adequate---but certainly is not for ours.I will have the donor review the product on Amazon.com so other people will not experience the disappointment and go to the expense of purchasing same--only to find out upon delivery and set-up, it's not as advertised.I've attached a few photos of the area I needed this 36"H containment for---running the length of the sleeping/play/potty area---but without a door for access to the puppies where the panels could be easily detached for the configuration needed and the non-existent doorway centered---it's tall enough to keep puppies IN; however, it is also too tall for human caretakers to enter their area by stepping over 36" fencing and basically no way to let the puppies outside for their several times daily romps. The original 24"H ex-pen is shown when it had been in use with the easily accessible latching gate for letting puppies in and out....Thanks for taking the time to consider some changes that will better describe this product.

Excellent ExPen
This ExPen is perfect for keeping my yorkie puppy out of mischief. At home it can be opened to be used as a room divider to keep the puppy out of certain areas. I have taken it on a camping trip and set it up outside our motorhome door so we were able to open the door and plunk the pup in the pen as needed since we are still housebreaking him! The pen is very portable. I have taken it when visiting family members and have set it up in their kitchens and have kept the puppy safely contained while leaving them for a couple of hours to go elsewhere. In the 4' square pen, there is room for a dog bed, food bowls, toys, and pee pad if needed! The 18" height is perfect to step over comfortably and high enough so the pup can't get over it. He can stand up on it but can't jump it. The only complaint I have is that when you have the pen folded and are carrying it, the clip provided tends to fall off and the pen starts unfolding. I solved that problem though and simply run a piece of rope through it and tie it together when carrying it.

Fast Shipping, Quality Product.
Ordered the 48-inch ExPen and was extremely surprised at the price! That being said i was quite concerned that it would be poor quality. It was not! The metal pieces connecting the panels feel very durable and like they would take some tools to un-attach. The clips that come to hold the opening together work perfectly and would be impossible for a dog to breach. My intention was to purchase a 30 inch expen for my puppy just for the beginning while I am training him, but since I found a 48 inch one there is much less room for error when he gets larger. Also it will be easy to re-sell if I no longer need it some day!All in all this is a quality expen that will definitely last you. The uses are endless for something like this and you cannot beat the price. Mine came to about $61 which is substantially less then anything available that I’ve come across. The shipping was rapid and absolutely nothing about the product feels cheap. One idea also is that you could attempt to un attach the panels and then re attach them on their sides if you didn’t need such a high fence and you would have a 24-inch high fence that is 32 feet long :)! (don’t buy soley based on this as I have not attempted this, but it could be a good future idea for if the dog you originally bought the pen for has puppies some day!)Also it is funny to pay less for shipping on something this big then I have paid for iphone screen protectors.

greatheavy duty pen
I have used other brands of xpens, but the precision 48" pen is the best bang for your buck (especially when on sale). The panels are heavy and the wire gauge thick, ensuring they wont bend. The product is great. Does it mean my dogs can't jump if they want? No. Its a tool, don't blame a tool for your poorly trained dogs folks.. this is a pen, not a crate, use it as such.

This pen was amazing for keeping her in one spot under the umbrella
I have a blind dog and having her wander all over the beach would have been so much work! This pen was amazing for keeping her in one spot under the umbrella.
