These things work very well. They're great for keeping deer out of our garden.1. Never pop a 209 cap indoors.2. File the burrs off the pins. When they cut the wire it creates a burr that will catch when the pin is pulled.

It’s got a pretty solid feel to it. It can be heard a good distance away

Use it for protection to alert us if we are camping

First time, first primer used, and it blew up. I used the correct prescribed primer.EDIT: Stay Tuned. This company did what a respectable company should do, they replaced the product without me even asking based on my experience. That alone bumps the product up to 3 stars. I’m eager to see how it performs on the second go round. If it works as it should, company gets 5 * for proactively managing issues.

This device works flawlessly and is made with quality materials. I had bought and returned a cheaper alternative to the Fith Ops perimeter trip alarm which didn't work. Save the time and headaches and go with this small handheld pocket-sized perimeter alarm, I bought this for a camping trip to not be caught off guard by any predators. I'm excited to set it up next week for field testing...I will update my review at that time if possible...

They work as advertised no complaints. The 209 primers are loud enough

Well constructed and machined. Safety pin is too loose fitting but otherwise well put together

Its loud if you're 5 ft away. If you're through a forest or inside a shack or house - you wont hear it.Rain will rust this overnight, melt the glue on the primer (making them inoperable) and if it gets cold (below freezing) the firing pin freezes in place. Not ideal for winter if wet/humid.I am wildly disappointed in them. The 12 gauge version is much better - but still blanks (un-chambered) are not that loud at distance or beyond obstacles.

Used as a trip wire at night in driveway to scare the bejerzas out of the looky Lou’s after dark if you get my drift
