Works fine
The biggest problem I have with Firewire 800 cables is that they easily slip out of the socket, particularly in a laptop if you move around. These hold fairly well.

but not happy with the purchase
This cable did not work upon arrivAl and plugging it in. A neighbor had another cable, tried that and it worked. Retried this one and it did not work. Not sure the issue, but not happy with the purchase.

Good cable quality
Replaced an older FW-800 cable I had that was becoming flakey. This one works great, is well built, not much more to ask for. I use it with a Motu 4Pre.

Look elsewhere for a better firewire cable
Wouldn't buy again. Cable connectors are loose fitting inside my macbook pro and external hard drive which makes the connection sometimes drop out.Look elsewhere for a better firewire cable.

Works well
And very durable. I keep it in my bag and carry it with me everywhere... still working! Using it with my MBP.

A solid cable
Great cable if you're looking for a shorter length. Solidly built but lightweight, heads are plastic with metal framing inside and appear study. Mates easily with my devices, not too loose or too tight. A good choice.

Solid Construction
Like others have said, I'll say the same: stays safe and steady in firewire ports, which can be a big problem for other firewire cables feeling too loose and precarious.
