GE Microwave Door Handle Replaces Wb15X335

The strength of the plastic is inferior to the original manufacture part. It was also a different shade. It is a bright white and the original was a soft white. I decided it’s ok though.

Easy to install just pop the inside panel and unscrew old screw in new. Its not straight by any stretch but it works.

I am going to return this handle. Here is my issue. Although the part is listed as a replacement for my GE JVM1340WW 02 Microwave(OEM part number AP2021148) and the plastic through studs are correctly located they are of a different length than the previous replacement handles that I have used. (this is my fourth) The top screw stud is about 1/4 " shorter than the previous stud and this means it will not butt up against the hidden metal attachment plate. This will further weaken an insufficient design to begin with. The bottom screw stud is about 1/4 longer then the previous replacement part and must be filed down in order to make it fit. I suspect that someone has altered the original mfg specifications and we now have some incompatible replacement handles at least for some microwave models it is intended to work with.When I do get one to fit I intend to super glue the handle to the microwave as well as securing it with the screws.UPDATE: I ordered the same part from another Amazon source (for $6.48 instead of $24.98) and found this part to be machined incorrectly. The lengths of the top and and bottom studs (bosses) were machined in reverse.with the top too short and the bottom too long. I called the vendor and suggested he check his entire inventory for the length reversal. He said he would do this. If he sees this complaint he might also check his pricing to make it more competitive with other Amazon vendors.. At $6.48 I immediate ordered a spare since this one will break as well in a year or two. Some vendor will get the idea to sell these in lots of three for a bulk discount.

Handle fit perfectly and was easy to install. Arrived quickly and was well packed.

The part worked fine as a replacement handle for a GE microwave door handle.

It's a replacement handle. It works. It's easy to install (pry back inside trim with a flathead screwdriver to get to the second screw), and looks the same as the old one.

Easy repair! Use putty knife to open inside door frame to access screws. Make sure you confirm model number before ordering. Piece works great, although plastic
