I didn't think getting my first digital thermometer would make me long for my old glass one. This thermometer is incredibly inaccurate and slow. The number it displays never stabilizes as far as I can tell, and often is still rising after several minutes in the mixture. For making candy, two minutes can be the difference between soft ball and hard ball stages, so this thermometer is no help at all.

Very good thermometer for the price and have gotten quite a bit of use out of it since purchasing it. Seems to work fine and accurately report temperature. Use it primarily for meats, but have also used it to check temperature of liquids. Display is quick and easy to read and cleans up easily.

Great meat thermometer. Easy to use and instant. The readout pops up very quickly, no more than a few seconds which is very important when you are dealing with something in the oven and you don't want the door open to long because of heat loss. Easy to read, easy to clean, just a swipe with a soapy sponge. it's also nice looking and sleek.

Outstanding. This is the first digital food thermometer I've tried. I can't compare to other digital thermometers, but it's a big improvement in convenience, speed, and accuracy compared to a traditional thermometer. I can't imagine a different digital thermometer would improve anything more.

An extra battery comes with this, which is great, except that we thought we needed to put the battery in and tried to open the battery cover. The cover broke on the first time we tried and it will not securely stay. We will be returning this.

Easy to use

I ordered this for my Christmas candy making (specifically marshmallows). It was delivered earlier than I expected, and was just as described. It worked perfectly and is of great quality. I will use this for many years.
