The Math Dude's Quick and Dirty Guide to Algebra

I found out about this book by listening to the podcast. I like math and have found it interesting but I wouldn't say that I am very good at it. I love it when I understand but find it extremely frustrating when I don't.The Math Dude has helped to keep math fun and interesting for me. He breaks concepts down into plain English. Also, there are no abstract examples set in a theoretical world like high school math. he uses clear, simple easy to grasp examples making it so math isn't just some numbers on a page, however, you can see exactly what you are doing in a real world sense.I have used this mainly as a reference book for when I forget how to do an operation but I would recommend it to anyone who wants a better understanding of algebra. Whether just starting out or need a refresher. I would find this very helpful for parents with kids learning this in school. So that they can teach their own kid's​ clear concepts instead the muddy explaination they get in school.

I'm studying for my GRE exam and need an algebra review. I'm also using Manhattan Prep, and they are good, but I wanted/needed more instruction. This book is easy to follow but provides the appropriate amount of depth and breadth of the necessary topics. Wish I had this when I was in high school.

Step by step, very thorough and easy to follow. Great for my students, as it has continuous check up points.

Too much unnessary talk that detracted from the "quick" guide.
