Light bulb base will get hot after use
The ligh bulbs work well, as expected. However, a word of warning. The ceramic base and metal base become very hot after use. There is a potential for a burn if someone attempts to remove the bulb after it has been in use for a while.I would recomend this bulb for cabin use as well as emergency lighting.I ran a bulb on a DC 12 volt lawn mower battery (Everstart U1-7) for six hours. The battery started out with a 12.5 voltage. It remained at 12.3 while bulb was in use and remained there for the six hours of testing.Brighness I found was equil to a a 60 Watt AC bulb.

Bright and then Dead after 3 months
Using in outdoor post light fixtures. They give off tons of light. One of the bulbs goes off and on sporadically, but it doesn't bother me enough to leave negative feedback. I'll probably contact the seller if it continues. I'm guessing these will last for 5-10 years based on dusk to dawn usageUpdate - Both lights are out after 3 monthst. Bummer. I do not recommend.

Perfect color temperature mimics incandescent. Uses 10X less current.
Used these on a boat to replace the 12V incandescent bulbs to lower power consumption. Very happy with these as they use 1 tenth of the current of the old style bulb. These are 12V DC bulbs, but will screw into regular 120V AC home ffixtures. If you do that, you'll destroy the bulb in a nanosecond.

Just don't last
Bought 6 to install in my 33' sailboat. 6 months later, 3 have already gone bad, to be replaced with the 17 year old incandescent bulbs I originally took out. I expect light bulbs to last a little longer than this, actually, I expect them to last a lot longer than this.

Faulty bulbs
Every one of these bulbs burned out when I turned them on in the lamp. I have the same size in other lamps that are fine.

more like a 75 watt
I've tried these these next to a 60 watt incandescent. It is produces more like a 75 watt. Love these!

Looks like a regular light bulb ....
Works with 12v AC as well as DC. Utilized these bulbs in a post light that i feed with a 12v landscape transformer since running 120 volt line would be a challenge (digging through rocky soil), and the need for a an electrical permit. Looks like a regular bulb including brightness, has everybody fooled!Good light output, decent color.
