Fireflies in the Night (Let's-Read-and-Find-Out Science 1)

My kids LOVE this interesting book. So many great and fun facts about fireflies!

We love the Let's Read and Find Out Series. This book is great at explaining the mystery of lightening bugs without being too technical. We used this book along with Fireflies by Julie Brinckloe and then spent an evening collecting fireflies and letting them go. Great activity for a five year old.

There is a lot of science-background in this book, but it will never bore young children! It's the best book around about fireflies, and I bought it for our grandson who lives in California and doesn't see fireflies except when visiting in the East Coast. Wonderful story and lovely illustrations, a real keeper!

A super book with lots of information on fireflies. My second grade students LOVED it!

This is a very simple book for younger kids. I was expecting it to be more of an indepth story. It was very simple, but did teach about fireflies.

Awesome! The illustrations are neat and it is easy to read. I found a gem!

We have most of the Level 1 books. They are a great introduction to science for little children. The only reason these don't get five stars is because a slightly bigger font size would have made these books excellent.

おじいさんが孫娘に、やさしく蛍について教えてくれます。蛍はどうすると光るのか蛍の光は、人間とどうかかわってきたのか蛍の体の構造や、お尻が光る仕組みetc昔話のようにおじいさんが語ってくれるシーンや実際に孫娘に蛍の捕まえ方を教えてくれて捕まえた蛍で実験してみたり。蛍について初めて知る事も沢山あって、科学絵本としても楽しめますが素敵なイラストと、やさしい語り口調の文章で心の中に、蛍のような柔らかな光を灯してくれます。
