I really like this tool. I'm not sure if it works since I'm not an observant person and not focusing on the comparison. It works really well im terms of the red light and the heat. The battery lasts very well.

This roller is pretty impressive. Most often, cold rollers do offer a nice cooling affect. At least the ones that I’ve tried, but this one freezes solid like an ice cube. When I first took it out of the freezer, it was solid and frosty. It was actually almost too cold. That’s not a bad thing , but it felt exactly like putting a large cube of ice on your skin pulled, just from the freezer. The gel beads maintain that temperature and don’t melt quickly.I used it on and off for at least an hour and it was still cold. This is probably more suited for after injury type of applications. It even says in the instructions that it’s good for after cosmetic procedures. It can be used for relieving headaches or on a hot day where you just need some relief, or to de-puff eyes or skin. It can go either way as a beauty item, or as a pain relief tool.The roller does start to get wet from condensation. Ice forms on the outside and will melt and drip causing a little bit of a puddle. I do wish it came with a storage or carry pouch because it does get a little bit messy with the melting.

I received the Ice Roller sold by Dermal-Tech. The roller comes in a box with Korean writing and has directions inside basically telling you to keep the ice roller in the freezer at all times until you need it. I chose to remove the actual roller and put that in the freezer instead of including the handle, to save space. It is very easy to remove the roller from the handle, just slightly pull open one of arms where the ice roller goes and you can easily pop it out. It took only a few hours to freeze. After freezing it was refreshing and cooling on various body parts, even on top of clothes. I had planned on using this for sunburns or to reduce puffiness of my face. The roller is about 3” wide, so it’s a little large for your face. Since it is an ice roller, using it for sore muscles seems like the best use of this. It will roll over the area of soreness, giving you a light massage while cooling the area. The picture shown in the item description is slightly different than the received product. The handle I received is all white with no words on it. I am able to keep this ice roller out of the freezer for about two hours until it loses its cooling benefit. I love that there is no melting ice involved with this ice roller. It has many uses and overall I’d highly recommend this!

Ice roller is ideal for helping with eye puffiness as part of your beauty routine. But I've found other uses such as relief for sinus headaches and a quick fix for those pesky hot flashes. I keep this in the fridge so it's ready when needed. Handle is comfortable and roller is smooth.

i keep it in my freezer all the time an i take it out to use it for my night an day skin care routine, leaves my skin to rejuvenated an fresh, no more dull looking skin, you should get!

This has worked well for me in getting rid of puffiness. It's easy to use and stays cold for quite a while compared to others I've tried. I could see using this for muscle soreness as well though that doesn't happen often for me. I prefer to use these on my face.

Sadly, my gel roller arrived leaking gel all over the package. I took the roller bar off to see where it was leaking and it was where it attached to the handle. Unfortunately there's no way to salvage this one.

This is great for days where you're out in the sun all day and need a quick cool off or for helping sooth some puffy skin. If you had burned something this would also be great for rolling around. It freezes nicely. I keep it in the plastic bag it came in just to keep it a little more sanitary. When that bag fails I'll start putting it in a ziploc bag. Feels great on my forehead coming in from a hot day in the sun. The only downside and why I rated it so low is the pricing. It's like triple the price of a lot of other similar options so this works well, but it's totally not worth it's price.
